About me: Donna Collins Tinsley is a procrastinating, hormonally challenged stay-at-home Mom of four daughters, who aspires to write, while homeschooling one daughter, dealing with stress and chasing after a grandson she and her husband have had custody of since 2004.
Her subjects range from hormones to healing from sexual abuse and she just finished writing a book called “Somebody’s Daughter.” She has been published in the Orlando Sentinel, The Christian Communicator, The Daytona Beach News Journal, Women’s Lifestyles, SurvivorWit.Com, Home-Based Moms Audiozine, Women Alive Magazine and the compilations, Praise Reports: Inspiring Real-Life Stories of How God Works Miracles Today and How I met my True Love (Xulon Press) Living the Serenity Prayer: True Stories of Acceptance, Courage, and Wisdom, Life Savors for Women, How to Put a Car Seat on a Camel, Guideposts Books; Miracles in Tough Times and A Cup of Comfort Devotional for Mothers and Daughters.
She is a member of Winning Women for Christ of Florida, Writing Strategies Critiqueshop, The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Humans and a grateful member of Al-Anon (support group for those affected by addictions in their family).
Who I'd like to meet: Someone who would like to publish my book.
Somebody’s Daughter
It is the journey of a mother through one of her daughter’s pain of addiction, losing children and more. It is a true story of how I kept my sanity amidst these things and the rebuilding of relationships out of the chaos of pain. While trying to make sense of our dilemma I also came up with a plan for people to give back to their communities by helping women such as my daughter. And hopefully the circle of love and giving will continue, as these women emerge, healed and strong for the future.
