2007 kicked serious ass for THREAT LEVEL, opening up for HELLYEAH Halloween night in Indianapolis at the Murat Egyption Room was the ultimate highlight of the year! 2008 eight years into the millinium and THREAT LEVEL is still On The Rise, and ready to Destroy! With a new CD "A World Beyond Devastation" just released. The four guys that make up the group, Chad Smith-drums, Troy Welch-guitars, Frank Rapacki-vocals, and Jason Weaver-bass, started jamming together in late 2004, at first only Jason and Troy made the line up, both having jammed together in their previous band Refused Sufferance. Chad was brought into the scene, both he and Troy had also previously jammed together, but still needing a singer was the only thing slowing down the whole thing. After several try outs and several Internet scoutings, fliers in the music stores etc... Frank who was good friends of a band, the rest of us knew answered one of our internet adds seeking a vocalist, and the four started recording demo tracks in Troy's studio dubbed "The Compound". The worlds current events and war on terrorist influenced the name of the band, giving way to the personality that has become the bands identity, fast tempos, plenty of thump, ragging vocals, and "Dimebag style" guitars,"R.I.P" define the overall sound of the band. Determined to build THREAT LEVEL up to a national status, on a major label is the primary goal this band has, playing as many shows as possible and striving to reach the unreachable is what drives this band to stick with those goals. This band is fresh, new, raw and rippin with power, with songs like "Stand Your Ground", "Hell To Pay", "The Fire Within", and "Jawbreaker", are geared to get you pumped, and ready, Welcome To The Massacre!
