This Monday No Coast Studios will be a part of Danny's monthly Peace Party series. We will be presenting 12 months of Peace Party posters printed and designed here at No Coast by Alex Valentine. Proceeds from the bar will benefit public programming and other activities here at the space. With 2009 in our sights, Cut& Paste is gearing up for a Digital Design Tournament of extreme proportions. Featuring a hat trick of 2D, 3D, and Motion Design competitions in sixteen cities worldwide, the 2009 tour takes us over, across, and around the world in just over a hundred days, then sends us flying back to New York for the grand finale, the debut of an international showdown between champions. A major stop on the Cut& Paste tour since 2006, Chitown’s been spitting out one talented designer after another to rise to the tournament challenge. They may be bidding to host the next summer Olympics, but that’ s four years away. Come April 4th, we fully expect them to show us where the competition’s at.
So, just like old folks, I believe that music should be given respect. We celebrate people who retire with parties, but what do we do for the music that we retire from our Vinyl / CD collections, or top playlists, or whatever your specific preference is?? I decided that I would celebrate tracks that I no longer foresee myself playing at gigs by presenting the “5 ON IT” Mix Series. Each time around, I will select 5 tracks that have put a smile on my face along with many others.

Created with over 2,000 photos in Chicago in the summer of 2008. We wanted to create a video that represented the party scene in Chicago and included all of the talented people we love to work with. Starring Megan Lewis as the main attraction, follow her as she scouts the many things that make Chicago's party scene so amazing. From LDRS, and St. Alfreds in Wicker Park to dozens of clubs and locations encompass the thriving chicago nightlife.
