Every so often the East Coast produces a leader to represent talent to the rest of the world; whether it was Plaskett, MacMaster or Sampson they all have one common thread – their work is weathered, timeless and pure. Not a trend but something that’s always been here.
Cue in Tim Chaisson, a PEI native who can synergize folk traditional with pop expression so seamlessly that you’re in his song as soon as the first note is released with no turning back. That’s not a product of a lucky strike - that’s talent.
For Tim Chaisson, his talent started generations ago. He’s a product of kitchen parties, the inescapable osmosis of folk and traditional music. He has that ethereal talent that other artists’ envy. Some kids need music school, to have the looks, to be synthesized – this guy just needs an instrument. Everything about this performer is organic, cultivated by both past and present influence.
The multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter has a stronghold in the elite East Coast music community, having been working steady as a musician since he was 13 years old, and recording three critically-acclaimed studio albums. Now in his early twenties, it’s apparent that with maturity and experience, his music is evolving.
This evolution has captured the attention of Canadian icon Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, The Trews, Joel Plaskett), who produced the highly-anticipated new record for Tim Chaisson & Morning Fold. Johnson, along with the help of Joel Plaskett helped massage the new works of the record. To have these masters of music respect is a dream to Chaisson and his crew – and inevitably to the listeners of this upcoming album.
His name is Tim Chaisson. His band is Morning Fold. Remember it: So you can say you knew them when...

Thank you for being a friend! If you have a chance come stop by my page and leave some feedback on my poetry, and keep checking back for new blogs, poems, and my first book of poetry which will be available for sale in just a few months!! Here's one of my poems:
IT'S JUST LOVE
As hard as I try, I can't seem to erase you from my mind. Search his eyes for a reflection of your heart. Imagination engulfing reality. His hands embrace me. I close my eyes and feel you. If only this distance weren't so prodigious. My heart longing only to be beside you. A love so inaccessible. Relying only on Faith. A love so unyielding. It will never surrender. Although I kiss you goodbye, My heart will never cease to be enraptured by you.
