Clandestino Festival has been arranged annually in Gothenburg, Sweden since 2003. The Clandestino Festival relates not only to recent migration movements and the multicultural diversity that characterises many of Europe segregated urban areas. It also strives to challenge the most common forms of expression used to represent cultural differences, and highlight the consequences of these representations for migrants in Sweden and elsewhere. Clandestino provokes people to rethink multiculturalism in a new way, beyond the ‘folklorification’ and the deeply rooted preoccupation with representing the other in exotic and demonizing terms. Through progressive dj-sessions, electronic and acoustic concerts, literary and visual events Clandestino has, both theoretically and practically, developed a critique of contemporary forms of colonial classification relating to the manufacture of culture in Western countries.

Geroyche feiert mit dem Rest des Ruff-E-Nuff Mobbbs, seinem guten Freund KarlMarxStadt/Society Suckers sowie einem ganz speziellen Gast aus Berlin. Der Exil-New Yorker Timeblind hat in den 90ern unter anderem Namen mit Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Joey Beltram usw. gespielt und auf Labels wie Probe und Kanzleramt veröffentlicht. Danach wurde er experimenteller und es kam viel einflussreiches u.a.auf den Labels von Kid606, Kid Clayton und Dj /Rupture. Momentan ist er dem futuristischem Dubstep verschrieben und rockt damit Tanzflächen weltweit.
A Mahout is a the long-term caretaker of an Elephant. I was going to call this mix Elephant Jockey, which means both &8220;guy who likes to fuck fat girls&8221; and is a racial epithet in certain parts of Africa. I decided not to use the name due to the later &8230; but probably should&8217;ve.
One night in southern India my very good friend Galya and I got off the bus in a state park. We were immediately surrounded by the rangers who told us we couldn&8217;t stay there due to the dangerous presence of Veerappan the Bandit (although he was never known to terrorize tourists). We caught a ride on top of a truck and there I met a Mahout who told me in typically fucked up English about his 30 years with his Elephant. Long term relationship, very deep. It was late and very dark and the truck barreled loudly under the Banyan trees. A few months later Veerappan, who was very vain about his majestic moustache, experienced health problems due to the toxic black die he colored it with. He tried to go into the city to seek help, but when the car opened its back doors he was assassinated by the police with a single shot to the head. It is believed that he had stashed millions of rupees deep in the forest in cash including ransom money and ornaments, in secret caves and holes in the forest.
TIMEBLIND is a sonic scientist from New York, currently living in Berlin. He has released on DJ /Rupture&8217;s Soot Records, Orthlorng Musork and the mighty Tigerbeat6/Shockout label as well as prime 90s techno labels such as Probe, Missile, Synewave and Communique. Timeblind is always researching and extending the boundaries of past and future sound system music. His 2003 remix for DJ /Rupture on The Agriculture laid out a template for fast hi-powered techno-dub that predates both Grime and Dubstep and appears regularly on mixtapes and in DJ sets to this day. In 2001 with the Rugged Redemption album Timeblind brought forth innovations in dub and dancehall influenced electronica. For our first release VERSION is proud to present Timeblind&8217;s latest mutations of the dubstep virus.
