Denial Fest
The Timeout Drawer proudly performed at Denial Fest's Inaugural show on 07.07.07 at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. Denial Fest is a series of shows aimed at promoting awareness of the issues that surround global warming. The shows also serve to benefit alternative energy programs. The night was coupled with Moveon.org's party for the planet. Read our blog, read more, this shit is dope.
The summer of '05 we shot a music video for "Bursting...". Someoddpilot directed it, which is a no brainer cause our drummer is that guy, so he shot it, and wrote this story based on truth where he was riding his bike one night, someone called him a f*ggot and he shot his cigarette into their open window and hauled *ss (very brave for a little guy). The rest of the action in the video detours from reality. The guys in American Heritage play the a**holes. Up in here, up in here.

Consumer's Research & Development's 3rd installment of the Timeout Drawer's trinity of melancholy entertainment...the EP, "Alone". Includes The Exorcist (previously available only on 7inch) and the music video for "Bursting With Tears..." Ron Schepper of Signal to Noise calls it "a superb addendum to Nowonmai" -Full Review.
"...the group's brief riff on the Tubular Bells theme (here titled "The Exorcist") is so incendiary it'd make Mike Oldfield's hair fall out." Ron Schepper, Signal To Noise

Nowonmai Reviews: Aquarius"If there was ever going to be a band to FINALLY steal the slow-building-atmospheric-cinematic-post-rock-soundscape crown from Godspeed! You Black Emperor it would definitely have to be The Timeout Drawer."
Now Like Photographs puts Nowonmai up in their list of top 24 instrumental records of 2005.
Textura "Slashing guitars incinerate deserted cityscapes while drums and moogs wreak havoc: apocalypse never sounded so good. Nowonmai? nuhsxerok: elbadercnru."
Textura also gives Nowonmai 5 on their top 20 of 2005. And they've got our picks of 2005 up there too.
XLR8R mentions pain. They say we have pain. It's true, so true. Did you read our tour diaries yet? Then you will understand.
