"....Tim Miller is the sort of singer-songwriter I can easily picture still performing in the popular realm 20 years from now. Perhaps not as the superstar flavor of the minute type, but the long term singer-songwriter who builds up a resume of respect and awe amongst his fans and those within the industry. Give him a listen. You won't regret the time.”
MuzikReviews Erin Bruno
“Adelaide is a collection of meaningful, slow-medium folk rock songs. While listening to this album, you get the feeling that any of these songs could easily be in a soundtrack during the turning point of a film. Miller’s guitars and vocals blend together effortlessly while the organ and piano perfectly compliment the basic folk rock sound of the album. . . . Tim Miller is definitely here to stay and I wouldn’t be surprised if very soon we start hearing his songs in more mainstream outlets.”
All Access Magazine Kim Thore
"Miller has put together an uncomplicated and unfussy collection of thirteen songs that are melodic and soothing. Miller is more of a songwriter/singer than the other way around… that is not to say vocally he lacks—the opposite is true as he has a very persuasive and effortless delivery that wraps around the listener. However, his delivery is such that it doesn’t blanket his songwriting which at times seems quite autobiographical yet with mass appeal. Meaning? You may find yourself or someone you know in this moving compilation."

"A strong collection of songs delivered in a seemingly effortless but still winsome manner. Think of Michael Penn singing the songs that Jakob Dylan and others write on their best days."

"...Miller has honed his craft into beautiful songs..."

"Occasionally an artist comes out of the woodwork that you've never heard before and you wonder why. Tim Miller is that kind of a musician."
Smother.net J-Sin
"His voice is sincere pocketed with melodic notes that sugar coats each line from his impressive songbook."
Metro.Pop the Light Bulb Popped
"These songs give a sense of space, depth and range that manage to build soundscapes with a heartbeat."
About Tim Miller:
Dallas based singer songwriter Tim Miller burst onto the scene with his critically acclaimed first album Out Of The Box. His music has since been licensed for MTV's My Super Sweet 16, Real World, Road Rules, and The Challenge, as well as by Tom Green for the upcoming film Shred II. Tim’s emotionally charged live shows have led to a loyal fan base as well a growing reputation for engaging, mature songwriting. Adelaide, which was released on May 6, 2008, is Tim’s strongest, most cohesive release yet and builds upon the success of Out Of The Box while keeping his signature acoustic tinged rock vibe.
About Adelaide:
Tim’s main goal when recording Adelaide was to form an organic album experience similar to those that affected him deeply in his youth:
“I remember going through the record collections of my older brother, my older sister and my parents. I used to sit down, listen to the music, go through the album jacket, read the words etc. Finding connections with various albums was a great experience for me - I think when you find and listen to an album that resonates, it is 50 or so minutes very well spent indeed.” - Tim Miller
Miller wanted the audience to be able to sit down and listen to a collection of songs that could take them on a journey both musically and lyrically, regardless of the fact that singles are dominating the market. From an artistic perspective, Tim wanted Adelaide to be a great sonic experience for them as well, resulting in his recording onto analog tape:
“Tape feels warmer, it's more inviting and it has a certain character to it; almost like it has a soul. Along these same lines, it was also important to me to use vintage instruments such as a B3, Rhodes and Mellotron. For instance, I believe more emotion comes out in the music when a musician is playing a real B3 as compared to a replicated sound. Much like the "character" that comes from using tape, the emotion that flows from a musician behind a vintage instrument is absolute and readily apparrent, even in a sonically challenged mp3.” -Tim Miller
Produced by Chris Bell (Erykah Badu, Polyphonic Spree, Eagles) and mastered by Adam Ayan (Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Phish, Ani DiFranco), Adelaide stands out from the crowd of cookie cutter singles with its raw honesty, sonic integrity and artistic vision.
