   About Tim Mudd
Englishman Tim Mudd's second full-length release 'When You've Got Nothing Else' reflects on relationships: specifically the desperation and introspection that follow their loss. The acknowledgement of human vulnerability is a central theme to the lyrical tone of this acoustic song collection.

“From what I gather, I’m not the only person who goes to bed at night believing I’m indestructible before waking up the next morning wondering what the hell I’m doing.” This need for validation and fear of simply being a ‘number’ are personal preoccupations that fuel Tim Mudd and his music.

With each song cutting straight to the heart, 'When You've Got Nothing Else' flies the flag for the emotionally downtrodden by documenting an unsuccessful struggle to resuscitate a long-term relationship. “By the time I came to record the songs everything had fallen down and I was in a very dark place. This record is about finding the strength to move on through failure.”

Tim’s next release due in July 2008, 'This Is My Future Without You' is a natural progression from its predecessor both musically and emotionally. In contrast to the intimacy of the last CD, Tim’s new compositions have a fuller sound, which echoes his passion for strengthening the relationship with his audience. “In my experience, relationships either grow stronger through challenges or they break. My relationship with the listener is no exception.” You can get a sneak-peek at this iTunes-only release with a few of the tracks just added to this recently-revived MySpace page using the audio player above.

During the Summer of 2008, Tim Mudd will also be unveiling his new musical project, For Wardens and Strangers, who will be releasing their debut CD in the Fall of 2008.

Hey, Tim. I wanted to let you know I really dig your tunes, man, and your crazy pickless guitar playing style! haha! It was cool to meet you a few weeks back at Lestats. Hope you're well, man.
Cheers!

CONGRATULATIONS TIM!! The AWARD WINNING TimMudd.com...or I suppose it'd be the AWARD WINNING LimeyDesign.net? They should be interchangeable, equitable, on par, cut from the same cloth. Rubbish! YOU are a winner, and in ways awards don't recognize! I love you buddy!

So I was sitting in Cosmos on a break from school, and I crack open The Troubador. I'm finishing up your monthly article and I read the subscript at the end 'Damigo-Deez. Holla.' and start laughing uncontrollably. Now everyone in Cosmos thinks I'm insane.

Just thought that should be on your conscience. (But it was totally worth it. Tim Mudd, you are hilarious.)

What a night, my good man!!! You led a thunderous charge of life through a dark alley of despair into the brightness of tomorrow, filled with hope, love and music. (Sounds kinda second-rate novelish, but it's true and it's from the heart!) And on less eventful nights, you've done the same for three years. Thank you so much Tim, for your energy, your time, your work, your passion, your wit, your humor, your openness, your music, your friendship, and most especially, you. Whatever's next will rock so big it'll make the crashing of tectonic plates seem like the smashing of a dinner plate. (Now that's true second-rate novelish, but again true!) Talk to you soon buddy!!
Isaac

Nov 5 2006 10:48 AM

Top o' the mornin' Tim! So I'm drivin' around this beautiful Sunday morning doin' this and that, Tim Mudd's "When You've Got Nothing Else" on the stereo, as it has been since I got it, save for very brief intercedences by radio, silence and Jesse Johnson, though not necessarily in that order, and I make a mental note to do what I'm generally inclined to do which is, because life is too short, to tell those that have positive influence to whatever degree on me and/or my day and/or my life, that they have had such impact and influence, and to do so, to say so, to you. I love that CD dude!! Postcard is my fave. In fact, I so love said song compilation that I'm more than inclined, I'm set in my determination, to purchase another so I can have one in the car and one in the home. An act which may illustrate lunacy to some, laziness to others, or, as I choose to see it, quantifiable appreciation for great music. And that's all I've got to say about that. ;>)

I really liked your set last night, Tim. That was my first time hearing "Maps" but I couldn't really listen and feel your message in that setting so you'll have to play it for me again some time.

Ironically, I woke up with the line "dream our wildest dreams as we fall asleep" so I came to your page to listen to the new recording again and laughed when I saw your comment.

My mum and I will see you on Wednesday :-)
