BIO
Born in Vancouver, Canada Toby has been involved music from a very young age. By the age of 12 Toby had learned piano and by high school he was already making his own electronic music. Toby started to get noticed by different record labels and producers and began to supply content such as demo songs, patches, and song templates for the widely used music production program, FL Studio. In 2003 Toby studied audio production and engineering at the Arts Institute Center for Digital Imaging and Sound in Burnaby, where he learned from some Industry professional engineers and producers. Toby’s original tracks and remixes have seen releases on many different record labels such as System Recordings, BugEyed, Monster Tunes, Lost Language, Subversive UK, Solaris Recordings, Nu Industry and Pacific Front Recordings. Toby's music usually does not stick to any specific genre and brings in elements from electro, progressive, trance, and rock music. World top DJ’s such as Above and Beyond, Paul Van Dyk, Matt Darey, and Judge Jules have been known to support Toby’s original tracks and remixes. Anybody that has seen Toby perform live knows that he puts just as much into his shows as his productions. You can expect anything from progressive, breaks, trance, electro and everything in between during his live sets. Toby has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the game such as Miles Dyson, Andy Moor, and Wolfgang Gartner. Some notable chart positions over the past few years are Top 10 positions on Beatport, Trackitdown, C89.5, Energy 105.1 FM and the Swiss DJ charts. In the past Toby has also collaborated with artists Tom Day (Solid Inc), and Jon-E Industry (The Afterschool Special). Over the past few years Toby’s music has made appeareances on multiple compilation CDs (Z103.5, MC Mario, C89.5) and Video games such as iDance (makers of In the Groove Arcade machine).
