RYTHEM AND BOOZE REVIEW: Token Of My Affection are a four-piece alternative rock/emo band that have already graced the stages of loads of venues all over the UK.
The band have already performed with the likes of The Subways and Capdown among others as well as linking up with Kaleidoscope Records for a single deal whilst courting a great deal of other label interest.
The Haunted Debut is their new EP set to be released in July and could well break the band into the big time. The band write and perform killer anthems with the buzzing guitars, infectious lyrics and loads of passion. Token Of My Affection have a sound that brings to mind the likes of Chemical Romance and Hundred Reasons but they have enough personality to stand head and shoulders above the countless copyists that plague the scene.
The opening track, Rayru crashes in with a crunchy metallic guitar riff before the drums pound in. The main vocals are powerful yet melodic, full of both attitude and passion, whilst the chorus has sing along pop sensibilities without ever losing their edge.
The second track, A false sense of intimacy is even better, it opens with some nice melodic guitars and a near crooned vocal before the band step on the power leading into yet another contagious chorus.
The brilliantly named Three is company is a superb slab of monstrous riffs and hard hitting anguish feulled vocals. The band sound raw and ready to explode but manage to still fill the song with enough hooks to ground a battle ship.
The band complete The Haunted Debut with Be Defeated and you're left drained, exhilarated and desperatge for more, on this evidence Token Of My Affection are set to become very big news, I urge anyone with a taste for hard hitting emotional rock to check this band out as soon as possible, you won't be disappointed.

lmao i know i have been ditching allot of classes for dentist app and doctors but sleep also, man i hope i get out of this term alive. what happened about ur Financial Aid thing? least i been making some side money though, filling out those surveys online, giving my opinions n stuff. it aint been doing too bad, bout an extra 200 bucks or so a week, and the work is pretty easy, just like answering questions and giving my opinions on different things. heh, i just finished one, and it was about what freakin toothpaste do i like to use, lol. anyways, you should try it, and lemme know how it does for yah. i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
