At the age of 14, hanging with his boys, he'd had his first exposure to tattoos, and as history has proven, tattoos and punk go hand-in-hand. By the time he was 15, despite his association with professionals, he was using jailhouse machines to tattoo his homies. When Hiro was 17, he met world famous tattooer Bob Roberts. Hiro was too broke to afford an entire tattoo, but Bob agreed to outline a design for the money he could scratch together. Knowing this was what he wanted to do, Hiro went to Bob in Los Angeles and request an apprenticeship. Few years had passed as Hiro worked and proved his worth. World travel suited tattooers in the scene and Hiro was now able to work with reknown artists: Mike Wilson at Inksmith & Rogers in Jacksonville, Florida, Eric Maaske at Classic Tattoo Parlor in Fullerton, Ca. Bob roberts,Juan Puente,Charlie Roberts&Baby Ray at Spotlight tattoo in L.A.
