About me:

Who is the ‘Hashman,’ No I never was some tree-hugging pothead (nor do I even drink anymore - sober for...I lost count, which is a good thing), But let’s see - one time Sony Music employee (that's pre-BMG merger/era folks), former record store clerk (couldn’t tell you the last time I was actually in a “brick and mortar” store), Cincinnati, Knoxville, Murfreesboro, & Nashville Native (actually it's Hashville!) I’ve lived everywhere up & down the Tennessee & Ohio valleys, current PR/Media Planner, Medical Industry enthusiast (yes, that was medical), Music Critic/Journalist (Metal Rulez!!!), High School Salutatorian, Belmont University student turned MTSU graduate (there was only so much of that conservative atmosphere that someone like me could take at BU after a couple of years), Vinyl LP collector, Guitarist (just play for fun nowadays – the whole ‘dream musician’ thing, let’s not go there), and I own a few basses & a synthesizer…haven’t turned my recording gear on in years – again, it’s all about having fun and enjoying music – not being pretentious about it. And once upon a time a Book Editor, Publicist & Webmaster….
About my Writing, or should I say my Avocational Catharsis –
I got my start for two notable webzines in back in 2003 (right after college graduation - finally entering the 'real world,' how fun!), MondoGordo.com (A site owned by renown journalist/critic, the Rev. Keith Gordon), where I was also Webmaster and Co-editor between 2006 and 2007 (until it dissolved into www.thatdevilmusic.com - the title is a reference to the way people saw 'delta blues' music back in the day), Axehound.com, and RevelationZ.net, known as your Heavy Metal and Hard Rock Resource (was a staff writer until early 2006). I Joined the staff of Ytsejam.com (known as your 'progressive rock one-stop') in 2005, and I have been bringing a large scope of heavy metal & hard rock to the site ever since (even stuff such as free-jazz to the un-explainable); even finding time to co-edit two print books, the Alt.Culture.Guide V.2 & V.3 which between the two features exclusive interviews with Steven Wilson, Blackie Lawless, Steve Hackett, Timo Kotipelto, Jag Panzer, Kurdt Vanderhoof, & Alex Scholnick among others. And while living in the Cincy area, I was writing for Cincinnati’s Only Local Music Magazine (yes, "Only Local Music" was the rag’s actual title); the time up there was fun while it lasted.

I also find time to write the occasional article for a handful of various print publications

    Hello Tom,
    Everything okay?
What are you planning to do for this Summer? Festivals, gigs, holiday or just lying in the garden en remembering the great heroes from the past?

    Roger Syd Barrett (6 January 1946 – 7 July 2006).

...The ways, the ins and outs of heaven still elude us to the end
The tears, the sun the rain, I feel them on my face against my skin
We loved you then, we love you still
And don’t you know, don’t you know that heroes never die,
    They sail forever

Mostly Autumn - Heroes Never Die.

    Hello Tommy!

Thanks for the add and giving us a chance!
We are six hard working, passionate, down-to-earth, crazy guys creating the music that we love!
    Much peace and love!

    -Vesa-

    Sunrise
    over a stony road.

    Searching for my lost life
    a stillborn child.

    An outlaw
    a bad girl.
    Far away from heaven.

    Along the road
    holding you,
    holding you forever.

    Like years ago
    when you

    cried a summer rain
far away from the candle light.
    And through the hungry nights
    love was blind
    so far away from heaven.
