Music
Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, AOR, Hair Metal, Melodic Rock, Classic Punk (i.e. Rhino's "No Thanks" Box Set), 80's College Rock (think "Left of the Dial"), New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and some Extreme Metal. Iron Maiden, Rush, Dream Theater (earlier records!), Cheap Trick, Metallica (the first three - and that's it!), Blind Guardian, King's X, Savatage, Journey, Queensryche (earlier stuff), AC/DC, Fates Warning (ditto on the early stuff!), Kiss, T-Rex, Hammerfall, REM, Triumph, Symphony X, Boston, Black Sabbath, Toto, David Bowie, Porcupine Tree, Saga, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin Webb Wilder, Jason & the Scorchers, London/Decca-era Rolling Stones, Big Star, Stratovarius, Rage, The Clash, Steelhouse Lane, Running Wild, Husker Du, The Doors, Rainbow, The Rave Ups, Glenn Hughes, Bad Brains, Evergrey, Yes, Judas Priest, etc., etc. Just about anything on the Avalon/Marquee, MTM (R.I.P.), Frontiers, Locomotive, Escape, Z, Lion Music, Inside Out (heavier stuff) record labels, early Shrapnel, Enigma, Metal Blade Records releases, not to mention many releases on many sadly now defunt Japanese AOR/Melodic Rock labels (remember Brunette Records? People, we need to start supporting some new AOR/Melodic Rock-Metal blood out there), XM/SIRIUS' "Bone Yard," "Hair Nation," "Big Tracks," "Deep Tracks," "80's on 8," "First Wave," & "Liquid Metal" Channels and Live 365's "Melodic Rock N' Rarities" Station - you get the picture.
Favorite Guitarists; Steve Hackett, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Randy Rhoads, Alex Lifeson, Tim Donahue, Steve Howe (too many Steves??), Zakk Wylde, Jake E. Lee, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Gary Moore just to name a few.

Everything okay?
What are you planning to do for this Summer? Festivals, gigs, holiday or just lying in the garden en remembering the great heroes from the past?
Roger Syd Barrett (6 January 1946 – 7 July 2006).
...The ways, the ins and outs of heaven still elude us to the end
The tears, the sun the rain, I feel them on my face against my skin
We loved you then, we love you still
And don’t you know, don’t you know that heroes never die,
They sail forever
Mostly Autumn - Heroes Never Die.
Richard William "Rick" Wright (28 July 1943 – 15 September 2008)

Sunrise
over a stony road.
Searching for my lost life
a stillborn child.
An outlaw
a bad girl.
Far away from heaven.
Along the road
holding you,
holding you forever.
Like years ago
when you
cried a summer rain
far away from the candle light.
And through the hungry nights
love was blind
so far away from heaven.
