It is not CBS' fault for canceling GL. The ratings weren't all that great in the past few years or so and I guess the failing economy is really the reason. But like I said, cancellation doesn't really mean that a particular TV show is gone forever.

After 72 years as the longest-running soap opera in the history of broadcasting, "Guiding Light" has officially been canceled. The series finale will air sometime in September.
