Renowned hammered dulcimer player Tony Elman discovered old-time fiddle music during his first year in college in Santa Cruz, California. At a fiddle contest he saw a dying fiddler play his tunes for the last time, and then wandered into a wedding celebration for two young fiddlers... people were singing, dancing, laughing, and the air was filled with joy. Tony realized that he wanted to be a part of this tradition. He soon made a pilgrimage to Appalachia, where he built a hammered dulcimer that he still plays today.

Tony's hammered dulcimer recordings have been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of music lovers around the world.
