Bio
Born in 1962 and grew up in the village Brattvåg on the north west coast of Norway. Started to play drums at the age of 7. Studies at the university of Trondheim, NTNU, department of jazz studies and at the department of Drama, Film and Theatre. Has performed as an actor, composer and musician in the group Cirka Teater from 1988-1991. Has played and collaborated with a lot of musician, among them Christian Wallumrød, Eirik Hegdal, Kim Myhr, Ingar Zach, Bjørnar Habbestad, Kjetil Møster, Eivind Lønning, Joshua Redman, Andy Sheppard, Dizu Plaatjies, Sher Miandad Khan, Solo Cissokho, Jim Denly, Jon Balke and many others. Based in freeimprovised and impro-music, but plays also some other stiles. Besides of playing the drums, he also read dada-poems, writing music and sometimes dancing or acting performance-theater.
