Torpedohead is the rock n’ roll process of supersonic combustion in which a shock wave from razorsharp riffs is propagated forward due to energy release in a reaction zone behind it.
Haling from Frankfurt, Germany the trio lives the imagination of the New York Dolls jamming on AC/DC tunes, while transforming this into their own riff driven sound.
Since Torpedohead hit the stage the first time in 2008, the band featuring singer and guitarist Sven Spacebrain , hard hitting drummer Stephan and punk edged bassist Hardy,
has been giging relentless in Germany and other European countries, supporting international rock acts such as the legendary New York Dolls, The Mansfields, Peter Pan Speedrock, The Lurkers or The Cuck Norris Experiment among others.
The Video to the first single "Broken Flowers" had it’s premiere in January 2009 and March saw the release of Torpedohead's debut album “Lovesick Avenue” in co-production with the international audio company "beyerdynamic" ! The album features 12 blasting rock n' roll tracks.
Since its release the Album has received very good reviews in the press (Germany, UK, Canada, Italy, France) and several webzines. The songs of Torpedohead are also a featured item on the podcast of Michael Butler (bassist of Jetboy / American Heartbreak) called the "rocknrollgeekshow.com".

Torpedohead stehen für eine explosive Mischung aus Messerscharfen Rock n’ Roll Riffs mit erdigem Drive und eingängigen, mehrstimmigen Hooklines die bei Hörkontakt sofort zünden.
Das Trio aus Frankfurt lässt die Vorstellung, dass AC/DC mit den New York Dolls jammen, Wirklichkeit werden und wandelt dies in ihren eigenen, riffgesteuerten Sound um.
Seit der Gründung im Sommer 2008 hat die Rock n' Roll Formation mit Sänger und Gitarrist Sven Spacebrain, Bassist Hardy und Drummer Stephan, an die 40 Liveshows in ganz Deutschland sowie auch im Ausland gespielt. Darunter zahlreiche Supportshows für internationale Größen wie die legendären New York Dolls, The Mansfields, Peter Pan Speedrock, The Lurkers oder The Chuck Norris Experiment.
Im März 2009 ist das von Torpedohead in Eigenregie produzierte Debutalbum „Lovesick Avenue“ mit 12 Songs erschienen, das in der renommierten Skyline Tonfabrik (Toten Hosen, Beatsteaks) in Düsseldorf gemastered wurden. Die Veröffentlichung ist in Zusammenarbeit mit der internationalen Audiofirma "beyerdynamic" erfolgt.
Seitens der Presse wurde das Album sehr gut aufgenommen und es folgten zahlreiche Reviews und Stories in diversen großen, deutschen Print-Magazinen (Gitarre & Bass, OX, Soundcheck Magazin, Tätowier Magazin) sowie CD-Rezensionen in zahlreichen Webzines. Auch im Ausland (Kanada, England, Australien, Italien, Frankreich) wurde das Album mit sehr guten Kritiken in diversen Fanzines aufgenommen und bereits in Japan und USA verkauft.
Im Internet Podcast von Bassist Michael Butler, der amerikanischen Kultbands Jetboy / American Hearbreak, sind Torpedohead mit ihren Songs regelmäßig vertreten.
