TOUCH 106.1 FM fills the informational and educational void that exists amid the airwaves within Boston’s Black community.
We live and breathe our official slogan, “The Fabric Of The Black Community,” we are excited about bringing a multitude of possibilities that exist for a socially-conscious, minority-owned business in a wide-open market.
“We are all about community. We want to be a source of information and education for the people. There is so much negative imagery and information going out in the media about our neighborhoods. We want to focus on the positive and uplift, not degrade.”

In 1979, as the youngest music director in the country for radio station WILD, Clemons developed the tenacity and drive necessary to succeed and survive in the radio business. Now, possessing a business savvy and skills earned from those years within the radio/communications field and gained while running several businesses—among them First Choice Limousine Service, Inc. and C.C. Sounds— Clemons is puts his knowledge and experience to work as he attempts to thrive in a market that has lately provided mixed results for stations with an urban entertainment/talk radio format.
Boston residents have witnessed the passing of what was once one of the premier R&B/Hip Hop/ Soul stations in WILD AM and its modern sister station HOT 97.7
With Clemmons’ two able partners - John Laing and Leroy Mclauren - and the rest of the full-time volunteer crew, the Touch FM family took up to the challenge to bring only the best programming.
