Townes used to say, "Man, I could have been a Poet but this stupid music
keeps coming with it."
Townes was a funny guy.
He wrote some of the most stunningly introspective songs of our time.
His songs evoke imagery and visions of otherworldly places and beauty.
His songs reach a place in your soul few writers ever enter.
The characters in Townes songs are usually the downtrodden, derelicts,
drifters, whores and those less fortunate than most of us, though we can all identify with their "humanity" through Townes' words.
He's gone to those dark places, so we don't have to.

WE'VE ADDED A SERIES OF DREAMS THAT CLOSE FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAD AFTER TOWNES DIED THAT ALL CAME TOGETHER DURING JOHN KRUTH'S RESEARCH FOR HIS BIOGRAPHY ABOUT TOWNES "To Live's to Fly - The Ballad of the Late, Great Townes Van Zandt."
IT'S A TRIP!

asking everyone to check Neil Young's Living with War site, the song list. We have a song "The Wall" posted at number 80 as of this morn. Written by me, arranged by Dale Hanabarger. Dale and Erin O'Toole on guitar and vocals. written in '08 for those who died in Vietnam and their survivors, and as a reminder that we have 150,000 currently deployed and at risk. The surest way to dishonor the dead is to fail to learn the lessons they have paid for with their blood.
hello...and thanks for joining our lonesome little gang...if you like what you hear, please leave a comment...it would really make our day....we wish you blue skies...a x
Just coming by to say hello. You all are doing a great job putting Townes' albums back out there, I have EVERYTHING but it's nice to see his music in stores, any record store worth it's salt anyway. I see " in the beginning " is back out next month, anyone reading this that doesn't own it already you would be well advised to get it. Anyway, take care, Noah.
