Benji Rodgers also known as Marwood returns to Scotland on Tuesday the 13th of May for a headline show here in the Classic Grand.
Hailing from New York and sometimes London, Marwood has been successful thus far with a few independent records to name, "Another Day Gone", "Regular Fips", "The Blue E.P.", "One Mile Down The Road", "Marwood Live At Rockwood 2006-2007" and "A Few More Days".
Marwood also has support from fellow American artists AM and the Bowmans
AM takes equal parts of classic Americana, folk-rock and pop, and melts them down into something entirely his own, and he does it with two things money can’t buy: imagination and taste. These sturdily built pop songs are graced with ingeniously colorful arrangements and have that ’instant classic’ thing stamped all over them.
The Bowmans aren't your typical Americana band. Like the more widely known Avett Brothers, they work from a broader palette than many of their peers. The Bowmans maintain a rootsy feel throughout despite breaking away from traditional folk style and augmenting their sound at times with electricity.
And finally we have local support act, Alex Wayt. Alex is currently recording his debut album, “Crossing Tremainsville” which is due out in the summertime.

Just about recovered from the copious amount of wine I got through at the acoustic gig!! See what you can do about another acoustic session for 28 December. I've suggested that the travelling posse come through to the Drawing Room for a chill out then, so a Tracks gig would be a bonus..!! See you soon, Shirl xx
Shirl rang me today to let me listen in to your acoustic set tonight (the one in Birkenhead lol!) You sounded great really hope you can sort a gig for the 28th when we are up for Fourgoodmen - why dont you come on the 27th and join the party!!
Madchester, Saturday 24th Nov, Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh. 11pm until 3am, Hope to catch u there! P.S. Great free giveaway on the door (That's if they're ready, lol)
