A little bit about me: I’m a performer, musician, writer, activist, believer in The Oneness of The Creator and people lover. A Hip Hop, Jazz loving, Funk, Punk/Rock, Electronica, Salsa, Soca, Worldbeat, Afro, Soul, Blues, Opera appreciating, Dance head, that’s me. You say that’s a lot? Yes, I know. But, I am who I am. I love good music, no matter where it comes from! I respect the beautiful sounds of music. If it makes me feel good, I can get into it. That's just how my spirit is. Me, as a person and my music, walk with all of these awesome musical elements. I was raised in New York City, among other places. While in college, I trained in the genre of Classical Jazz. This cross section of cultures and music has allowed me to be comfortable across musical genres and cultures. Living in The United Kingdom, I fell in love with 2-step Garage and Drum n Bass. This has allowed me to arrive at this destination in my career--being labeled a ''GENRE BUSTING ARTIST''.
The TRAEDONYA! Sound, really can’t be placed in a box, because I’m out of the box. The musical experience for me, started as a child, in my mothers’ home and in church. My professional career as a performer and recording artist started when I hit my early teens. I’ve done quite a few things behind the scenes as well. I’ve had good times, laughter and sometimes even tears. I’ve met new friends and a few associates have come and gone. Yet and still, I enjoy all that I get to do in this crazy biz, it's a real trip! In my spare time, I love to read, paint, draw and write. I love to party, but I like my quite time also. I love to travel and I love exercising my passport rights. I love the sunshine and the outdoors. I love doing outside activities like bike riding, sailing and chillin on the beach. I love the scent of fresh flowers! Most of all, I love being around my family members and close friends, because I can be my total self when I'm with them... Back to the music; For the most part, my critically acclaimed debut single “Beloved”, is what really set things on for me. Created by producer "WET" and myself, this song is about freedom on all levels,; from the physical, to the mental, to the spiritual. With several mixes, "Beloved" has hit various charts of different genres and boutique scenes, it also hit The National DJ Times Charts and people continue to gravitate towards the song. It's a song that I hold very dear to me for various reasons. At the present moment, I have a new single out called “I’ll Give It 2 U” produced by the beat gangster, "Beats Galore". Thank you to all of the DJs that are playing it, spinning it in the clubs and showing me love! I appreciate it! I have now entered The National Urban Charts Top 40 in The U.S. To the TRAEDONYA! fans that are purchasing the song, thank you also. We are in production of the “I’ll Give It 2 U” video at present, so look out for that as well. Again, I really do thank you guys for all the love and support, the notes and the comments!
