In late 2007, long time friends Kevin Donovan and Brian Abildgaard began their quest to form Train Bigger Monkeys.
After a few weeks jamming with other friends, they asked Rick Seidlitz to try out. One jam session later it was apparent that Rick had the same chemistry as Kevin and Brian and was immediately a part of the band.
The 3 spent the next month hashing out a game plan and trying out some sounds. Chad Reitsma, current band graphic designer, joined the band shortly thereafter.
Failing miserably for months attempting to find a bassist, TBM decided to throw, what has now become a staple for the band, a mini-show to possibly stir up some interest.
After the first mini-show was a great success.
Peter Blondeel , decided to try out for the band. Having no bass experience, or even equipment, Peter showed promise and enthusiasm. But, almost as quickly as Peter's adventure started, it ended when he decided he didn't like Metal.
TBM was stalled again. The search for a bassist continued for the next 3 months.
Graham Monette joined TBM in May 2008, being a big part in helping to make the next 2 mini-shows and the first Gig a great success.
At about this time, Chad had made it clear he was no longer interested in playing with TBM. therefore Chad decided to part ways.
Soon after came the replacement of Graham, and a new addition to the band, Andrew Antenucci.
October of 2008 brought much excitement to TBM headquarters, with the the addition of new guitarist Jason Carter.

Hey! Hope you are doing well. Just stopping by to tell you we put up two new songs off our upcoming EP entitled "Escapes". Give them a listen and throw us a message or a comment!
I have decided to dedicate the majority of my time to recording and selling albums. Currently I am on a Cassette kick, and everything that I am self releasing, or releasing on the label I own and operate (Kapustin Yar Records) is now on Tape. Prices will remain as low as possible on said products, because Tapes are for die hard collectors or Cassette enthusiasts only these days. The majority of albums I release on other labels, which is a larger and larger number month by month, are still being released on CD. That being said, I have recently recorded for The Persona Series (albums for individuals, named after their purchaser, with the owner retaining all rights and receiving 2 mini posters for $10 postage paid), which has been very successful. I have recorded a 90 minute Cassette, High Above The Horizon, which is available for $4 postage paid, and The Blood Album Part 2 for $4 postage paid. Please help me to continue pumping out these and other albums by ordering these crazy Tapes today!!!
My new full lengths Die Nibelungen Part 2 - Death of a Hero (Satanica Records, New Zealand), Biomechanical Psychomantium (Mooncult Productions, Australia) and Hashasheen Part 3 (Thorn Laceration Records, United Kingdom) will soon be available, check these labels sites for release dates! Thanks for your time, and sorry for the excessive self promotion :)
