For those that do not know, Tramontane was one of the premier power metal bands in the late 80's early 90's in the SF / Bay Area. The band put out several early demos and In August of 98', "December Dark" was made public and welcomed with rave reviews. The song "Another Time" received much radio airplay and was featured on many "best of" compilations. After a successful year, Tramontane began writing new material for their next release "The End of Tribulation". Unfortunately in 2001 just as writing for the next album was concluding the group disbanded and went their seperate ways never to release the album "The End of Tribulation". In 2002 a limited edition Vinyl self titled LP was released via Doomed Planet Records and has become a much sought after item. In 2004 singer Norman Skinner (Imagika, Machine Called Man) ressurected a new Tramontane line-up and the band underwent a makeover in look and sound. The band is currently finishing writings for a 4 song EP titled "Call of The Kindred" and plans to release it on a later named label. Check this website often for updates and show schedule.
