bio
three bored weirdos find an assortment of random sticker-letters on the patio table at a friend's house, and build many strange phrases with the letters before realizing that altogether they spell TRASH TRASH TRASH. the phrases become song titles, and trash becomes the band. brandon, warren, and alanna showed their phrases to joe, who offered to play bass. rita bought an electric organ for $15 at a yard sale. everyone invaded her house with a modgepodge assortment of lyrics scribbled in composition notebooks, varying musical talents, and ideas from strange brains. songs began to take shape. tom came to a practice because he had nothing else to do that day, and got voted into the band. it was discovered that aldo owned a drumset, and he was immediately commissioned for the job. leroy refused to be left out. and it happens.
we had our first and only FULL band practice with all eight members of the band present only two weeks before our second show. we are chronologically retarded.

Lovely, Dia, we love the work you do to fight oppression and this bullshit system of exploitation. When you're working to shut down the war machine, environmental destruction, the world free trade efforts, racist and classist mofos, corporate swine and their media lapdogs, repressive laws, the fascist police state, and capitalism itself -- when you're working to support indigenous rights, the freedom of women and children (and men, for that matter), civil liberties and free speech, poor people and homeless folk -- when you're engaged in anarchist and anti-authoritarian struggles -- we want to help!
Trash Orchestra is a marching percussion band – a bone-shaking recycled orchestra. We make percussion on tuned cans, hubcaps and barrels, drums, pieces of sheet metal, and homemade oddities. We show up invited and uninvited at protests and celebrations, furors and fracases.
Invite us next time there's a need to make a ruckus, to shout out and make a big noise. We're there.
i like oz's poppy fields. "blood orange moon aching the sky neon break their bulbs everytime. (i think that's pretty close to a haiku. i mighta been off a couple, it was 4/4/9 which is not the correct number of syllables for a technical haiku, but i mean, what the fuck? who the fuck gives a fuck? as long as it makes you feel something while being imagistic and cinematic (well burroughs would say cinematic. i think something cinematic is like a shot of a beautiful girl with a shitty eye make up job eating an ice cream cone out in the cold before stepping into the black velvet room with the dream-machine. for systematic deranging. if you see how it's all connected you can read the patterns and intuit the gut feeling. i'm watching "the brother from another planet" dir. john sayles. i love that movie and the whole psychedelic Atari neon pac-man flashing-kids in japan seizing up and phishin' out in the rows of 3-D theatres. the flashing lights hit them like bad nitrous oxide. a buncha dead fish leaping outta birds nests in the begining. or maybe that was in my head. bits of word slip out- mail delivered to the undeliverable minds burning holes on mattress's on squat floors in terminal tenements. nobody sees the library behind the wall cuz we're all amputee's and can't play the three chords on the Baby Grand with our feet. but can we go to bed soon, and seperate pieces into the carbon base" one time on angel dust i licked the whole cake bowl clean, then i shot steroids in my ass cheek and got all aggro-roid-rage cuz i had a cake smudged face and smashed my head through a statue of grover cleveland (the only one in existence, there's still a civil suit pending). i didn't even know that it was Time that had set me up. i never saw it coming. finally, my mind in shambles, i hobbled into a blood bar and drank from the sacred blood of saints until my belly went swish-swosh-swish-swosh-gurgle-gurgle.___--_--
