Legend tells bumblebees defy the laws of physics to fly. Tremblebee is a groundbreaking band from Sweden that defies the general standards of pop and rock music by adding odds and rich melodies to their songs. The more you listen to the songs, the more you realize the paradox between complex and simple melodies in their music.
Created by the encounter of two talented young musicians, Tove Nilsson (which nickname used to be Bumblebee) and Christian Bjerring met in February 2006 and started to compose compulsively. Later on, Tom Olofsson (bass), Johan Yrefors (drums) and Olle Markensten (keys) joined the band and made whole the creative quintet.
Tove soulful and energetic voice is backed by clever melodies and arrangements of the band. It takes only a few minutes listening to Tremblebee to catch the atmosphere and the unique combination of rich songs and delightful catchy lyrics. The basic structure of rock'n'roll is enlightened by a wide range of musical references brought together by a natural and dedicated process of composing.
Songs like "Breif Sensation" and "All Been Done Before" prove that their music can not only be a pleasure to listen but also surprisingly colorful. From the intense "On Her Own" to the groovy "Wither Away" passing through the mood changes of "Hold Your Breath" or the more straight forward rock'n'roll of "Blacklisted" and "Undersized", Tremblebee shows how not everything has been done before and the human mind has endless possibilities.
The band is influenced by a wide range of honest and personally twisted music such as Frank Zappa, Aeon Spoke, Ani Difranco, Emiliana Torrini, Allan Holdsworth, King Crimson, Jeff Buckley, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Mike Patton, Nick Drake, Silverchair, Tim Christensen, Tracy Bonham, Swan Lee, Avishai Cohen, Tin Hat Trio and Astor Piazzolla.
The initial steps towards the creation of the band were made by Tove and Christian. They met at a music school in Stockholm and their creative minds clicked immediately. Composing turned out to be just a fluid natural process. Shortly after, Tom and Johan, who attended the same school, joined this duo. The last member to join them was Olle - and the smashing band known as Tremblebee was formed.
Recently the band has been reinforced by thier latest member - Richard, adding even more colour and depth to the music.
Today, Tremblebee is working on new material for an E.P. to be recorded this fall. And we assure you that this will be like nothing you've ever heard. The goal is to keep on playing as much as possible, with the ambition of reaching out to every ear and heart who demands something more of music.
