The Trevor Project operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
Suicide is one of the top three killers of young people. The Trevor Project's work is especially critical because LGBTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers.

Thank you for the add. It is greatly appreciated! I am glad that you are here today to help those in real need. In the past, I have tried to help some of my friends thru their troubles, but sadly they either fell deeply into mental distress or ended their lives. It is good to know that this resource is out there for them.

Think about this for a moment; 30% of all young people who commit suicide identified themselves as gay, lesbian, or bisexual. But for Geo, it's not the statistics that move him to support this worthy project. In his own words, "I wish I'd known about this hotline a year ago when I was going through the painful process of coming out. I would have caused myself less pain if I had had someone to talk to."
Geo has a heart and passion for helping other gay young men & women. Miami Beach City Commissioner will be honor Geo with a proclamation from the city. I hope you will join Michael & me in honoring this young man.
