Bio
Kofi Baker made his first appearance with his father Ginger Baker in 1975 on the live UK TV show The Old Grey Whistle Test, he's been playing before the public ever since. The early 80's found Kofi and his father playing drum duets throughout Europe. Later Kofi toured with John Ethridge (Soft Machine), gigged in London with Steve Waller (Manfred Mann) and with Randy California (Spirit). He joined Steve Marriot after Humble Pie and toured Europe. Highlights of the 1990's for Kofi were a Budapest tour with Jack Bruce, signing to Scotty Brothers Records and recording the album Lost City in '92, followed by the album "Abstract Logic" with Jonas Hellborg and Shawn Lane in 1994. This was followed by a variety of tours including more drum duets with Ginger Baker. Now living in L.A., Kofi formed Mojo with Ric Fierabracci and Brett Garsed. Kofi then played in OHM, a jazz fusion outfit with Chris Poland (of Megadeth) on guitar and Robert Pagliari on bass, he has toured in support on Joe Satriani's European Tour and is also playing currently with Eric Sardinas on his American and European Tour Kofi also tour's with Tony Spinner (ToTo) on guitar and Malcolm Bruce (son of Jack Bruce) on bass as Kofi Baker's Cream Experience they have been joined on stage by guest artists on occasion such as guitar legend Jan Akkerman (Focus). Master drummer Kofi Baker tapped the musical legacy created by his father when forming his latest project, Kofi Baker's Cream Experience. Kofi's father Ginger Baker was the drumming force behind the legendary bands Cream and Blind Faith. After a trip to see his Dad play Madison Square Garden NYC during Cream's 2005 reunion, Kofi decided a tribute project was in order. Taught by his father at an early age and having toured Eastern Europe with Jack Bruce (Cream bassist vocalist), Kofi used first hand knowledge and the influence of his Godfather Eric Clapton, to assemble a band that re-ignites such classic songs as White Room, Crossroads, Sunshine Of Your Love, I'm So Glad, and Badge, among others. Audiences have been blown away by Kofi's tribute and the band's ability to evoke the sound and spirit of the era... -

After listening to the music today for the first time, I simply must go to witness their performance at the House Of Blues in Downtown Disney this Friday, the 11th day of February. It's been said that Kofi rivals the musical prowess of his teacher that has been passed down from father to son. I hear a steadfast companion that has been mentored by a master, who can now keep up with the best around and has the abilities to take it beyond, even further on down the road...
