The Casablanca LP of Trigger gives ample evidence that this group's reputation for styling and entertaining rock & roll is no musical misfire.
Trigger's highly personal music has evolved into what the group describes as "anthem rock" - tight, polished, explosive and forceful music that can draw fevered, loyal responses from audiences at a moment's notice.
Trigger's sound is a blitzkrieg-styled attack - hard and fast with no let-up in the impact. Their collective stage presence is centered around the strident, aggressive lead vocals of drummer (yes, drummer) Derek Remington with support from the twin guitars of Jimmy Duggan and Richie House and bassist Tom Nigra. What sets Trigger apart from the heavy-metal norm is the group's emphasis on vocals and harmonies. All four members are versatile and gifted vocalists, setting up varied voice textures by their ability to swap harmonies or exchange lead rolls as the situation demands.
Production and engineering were expertly co-handled by Corky Stasiak and Dennis Ferrante, a team that was also involved in the production of such artists as Kiss, Aerosmith, John Lennon and Linda Ronstadt, to name just a few. Their wealth of experience and close relationship with the group have resulted in a versatile, yet seamless piece.
The material shifts smoothly from such melodic fare as "Somebody Like You" to the funked-up "Gimme Your Love", while a sinister and chilling "Deadly Weapon" provides a perfect counterpoint to the lush vocal arrangements of "Baby Don't Cry" or the frantic guitar and pop flavor of "We're Gonna' Make It". A diverse base of styles, but Trigger makes the transition from each mode with ease.
Open fire with Trigger - a group that hits musical targets all it's own !!

WoodFest - Woodstock's 40th Anniversary Party in Oklahoma
Washita Hideaway from August 14-16, 2009 Davis, Oklahoma
I used to work for these guys, and had nothing but the best, greatest times. Did lights for them at NYC's famous Great Guildersleeves club, like no one ever did before, imitated strobe lights with the follow-spot etc...I used to hang out at Record Plant's NY Studios, and was originally invited to meet them by my old friend, producer Corky Stasiak, and went to Record Plant recording studio in N.Y. Corky played me some of their mixdowns and asked what I thought of them (Trigger)...I was totally blown away. I was tapped for some potential costume designs, which we only got as far as some drumstick 'holsters' for Derek, but everyone decided to just stick to keeping it simple...So I wound up (I forget exactly how) doing lights for them. I'll never forget how cool Derek and Richie were to me, never acted like 'high and mighty rock stars', very pragmatic and down to earth. I do recall, a very interesting technique that Richie did at the beginning intro of one of their songs...He'd imitate the sound of seagulls, by using the mike-stand as a 'slide' for his guitar, and finger-pick the strings...Amazing stuff! They eventually began to perform some newer material for what would have been their 2nd album, but it never saw fruition. I miss that material too, wish it could have been included on the Trigger CD coming out. I used to have great phone conversations with Richie and his wife Kim and we were good friends, sending Christmas cards to each other all those years ago. I feel bad that we lost contact over the years, I miss you guys! I'd LOVE to get a copy of that new CD, and I still listen to my vinyl-to-cassette copy that I made many years ago. Trigger's songs are timeless, and bring back great memories of those days. I can listen to their album in any mood and come out feeling much better for it. Richie would also remember my favorite cut as "We're Gonna Make It", and dedicate it to me all the time. (See next)
Rik Fox, Continuing: "I used to work for these guys"...
From the cut-off point at the end of the last post (see next):
Having not seen it, (the new Trigger CD), I guess maybe they forgot to put a 'Thanks Rik' in there for me too. I guess maybe I'll get 'lost' in the thanks...? Anyway, The rest was history. The world should know about Trigger and I hope that happens for them, they deserve it. Best, Rik Fox/ http://www.husaria.us ,p.s. I think I might have mentioned the guys in my online interview here: http://www.fullinbloommusic.com/rikfox.html
Eddie would be my brother. I just stumbled across the site and was enjoying the memories. I forwarded the links to Eddie & we are looking forward to seeing you guys at the reunion show.
