    The Trinakrius project, a Heavy Doom band, was formed in Palermo in 1995. In 1996 we recorded our first output, a demo tape entitled "Intrinakrius". It received quite good reviews in several heavy metal magazines. Notwithstanding the reasonable success and the numerous performances in various pubs of the city and its province, we split up because of various reasons at the end of the same year. During the six years we all had our own musical experiences in some other bands (e.g. Holy Knights,Acacia, Synthesys, Black Twilight, and others). After this break we reunited Trinakrius in 2002 with all five members to record a new release, the "Inquisantism" mini concept based on the Inquisition, and after the positive reviews in national and international press the band signed its first contract with "Doom Symphony", an Italian label. For "Doom Symphony" we recorded our first official CD titled "Sancta Inquisitio". This one, same as the previous EP Inquisantism, got a lot of good reviews from several international magazines.After having presented the CD in several pubs of the city Palermo and its suburbs, the band was in July 2006 contacted by the organizers of a German Open Air Festival - the Headbangers Open Air near Hamburg. During this event we presented our music to an international audience and got great fedback on the live performance and expanded our sales of the album. After such a wonderful experience we immediately carried on to work on our new album. We produced a three songs promo to promote it for several recording studios. Unfortunately our singer had to quit because of personal reasons and left the band. Nowaday Flavio Rezza, aged 23, voice in the prestigious chorus of Palermo Teatro Massimo, is our new singer. In April 2007 we went another time to Germany (with Flavio) for another fantastic event, the "Kutten4ever Festival" to wich we were invited after the great response we got at "Headbangers Open Air" After our return to Italy an Austrian label " Psychedoomelic Records" offered us to rerelease the first self- produced album "Inquisantism". The same time Trinakrius was confirmed for the " UP THE HAMMERS FESTIVAL" in April 2008 (Athens - Greece). During the whole summer Trinakrius worked in the studio on the new album preproduction " THE BLACK HOLE MIND" which was recorded in December 2007 and will be released via the mighty Hellion Records label from Germany in autumn 2008. The CD is released in the month of November of the same year, thanks to the very good reviews received all over Europe. We can mention the fact that it was a top album for four times, and at the same time the new bass player, Flavio Russo, joins the band. The group is included in the Jolly Roger Fest in May 2009. During the Festival, they play together with Rosae Crucis, Bud Tribe and Folk Stone. A few months later,and precisely in July, the band starts a short tour consisting of three dates, performing for the third time in the north of Germany,and sharing the stage with bands such as Vicious Rumors, Deathriders, (former singer of the Anthrax), Enforcer, Nightshade, Helstar, Angelwitch, Paradox, Wild Dogs and some other bands. After coming back from their short tour,and after taking a short break, the band signs a contract with Jolly Roger Records for the reprinting of their first demo with the title "Intrinakrius". The CD was first released in 1996. The band joins the Hangar 18 Studios in the month of November for the new title "Massacre" finished only after three weeks. The new CD is finally released in the first months of 2010. Without taking any breaks, the group starts again to work on their new album, due to be published in 2011; at the same time, they sign a contract for a short tour in JAPAN for 3 gigs in March - 6 / 8 / 9 / - 2010, and immediately after returning from Japan, is confirmed a new date in Malta in July.

    Vanexa were one of the first Italian heavy metal band, their self-titled LP was consecrated by the national press as the first italian heavy metal album. Born in Savona in 1978, their sound was typically Anglo-Saxon evidence abroad where they were cited by several magazines as proponents of the new wave of heavy metal
    band from late '70s early '80s. They also participated as a headliner at the first heavy metal festival held in Certaldo Italian in Florence May 21, 1983. In their careers have also participated in various compilations including metal of Metal Mountain, exit the United States, with the song "Hanged Man" and Metal Italy with the song "It's Over". In 2007 a CD reissue of their eponymous debut album with 3 bonus tracks and unreleased second album "Back From The Ruins" with 5 bonus tracks taken from a live concert of 1984 was released in 2010 is out "1979-80" a compilation of early material ( totally sung in italian) released on vynil and cd supports. We needed a new fresh band with a new fresh sound. VANEXA spearheaded what was termed 'the new wave of heavy metal'. They were a more than welcome addition of the italian hard rock/metal scene. Yet, this debut offering offers more energy and speed than actual accomplishment. In 1983 VANEXA released their self-titled debut album, starting what would become a legendary career for the band. They were one of many promising bands in the New Wave of Heavy Metal movement at the time. Following the success of Vanexa, the band released released their second album Back From The Ruins in 1988. The album featured fan-favourites "Midnight Wolves", "Creation", "Hanged Man". This new album contained many tracks that had been written prior to the release of the debut album, but were considered surplus. With songs already shaped on the road well in advance, only two new tracks were written for the album; Hanged Man and Creation. The band adopted a different approach for their 1994 studio album, titled Against The Sun. This was not a concept album, though it was themed loosely around the idea of social problems. It featured, for the first time in the band's history, synthesized Keyboards and guitars sounds to add textures and layers to the sound. Though considered different from the norm of Vanexa sounds, it a good response across the world, especially for new incredible voice of Roberto TIRANTI. The VANEXA lyrics contains literature quotes about famous books/movies or social problems fusioned in great heavy metal sound.
