BIO

TSUKIYOI is a instrumental sound and vocal music duo consisting of producer Tetsu and singer Kou. The band formed in February 2011 in Tokyo. Kou is also a professional Koto player and the Koto is one of the oldest instrument of Japan. Japan is a beautiful country with wonderful instruments and rich melodies. "Tsukiyoi" means the moon that can only be seen in the early hours of the night. The new world crossover music is HERE, imaginative, ambient, emotional, psychological, healing and more... Tsukiyoi is helping to revive ancient soulful roots in Japan and Asia by combining traditional sounds with modern flavor.

PROFILE

東京都出身。５歳より箏を、10歳より三味線を始める。2006年東京藝術大学音楽学部邦楽科生田流箏曲専攻卒業。同年12月ミニアルバム『言葉にできない』箏弾き歌いでソロCDデビュー。箏奏者としての古典演奏、レコーディング、ライブの他、中学校・高校の和楽器実技講師など精力的に活動。宮城社教師。日本女子大学筝曲研究会指導助手。宮城会、森の会、糸音会会員。
