The Band is composed of Sonic Experimentalist, Paolo Peralta (guitar, drum beats, electronic sampler) and Tattoo Artist/ Freelance Illustrator/ Part-Time Model, Sarah Gaugler (lead vocals). Inspired by music from Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Bjork, Gorillaz, Muse, Daft Punk, and Chemical Brothers. Their music is often compared with music similar to remixes by Justice, MGMT, and The White Stripes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. .... Turbo Goth released their first single in 2009 entitled "Morning Swim". The song was initially successful and almost instantly ranked top three on the charts of a local radio station in the Philippines but it became more popular after the band followed the song with a self-produced Music Video which was released on May 6, 2010 It was first seen on MYX USA and is currently airing on MYX Philippines and Channel [V] Philippines. .... Turbo Goth is primarily recognized in the Philippines for the duo's electric tandem during live performances. Since they became self-managed, the band became more available to perform at gigs in known bars around Metro Manila and near-by cities. The spontaneity of Paolo's crazy dance moves and the way Sarah poses like a monumental structure during their live performances has not only drawn the attention of music lovers but also the attention of art enthusiasts and photographers. They also became more free to the music that they would like to make and to the direction of where they want to bring themselves to with incorporated experimental electronic music, post-punk and jazz which makes the sound quite heavier and a dash more aggressive than their first single.
