Blazing from Germany's Stuttgart area this five piece delivers intense and catchy hardcore combined with amazing punkrock tunes.
Turn Away was established in the year 2000 by four kids that have been friends for a long time and just wanted to play music and have a good time together. They put out their first Demo in late 2000 and soon started playing shows. They appeared on a split 7" together with More Than Ever, Closeline & Opposition Of One early 2002 and after a new demo they hit the studio late 2003 to record 9 songs for an MCD called "today is the day" on “Fields Of Hope Records”.
They played shows with bands like Have Heart, Insted, Comeback Kid, Burden, Agnostic Front, Walls of Jericho, Vision, Evergreen Terrace, Casey Jones, Propagandhi and Just Went Black, just to name a few. In 2006 Turn Away hit the studio again to record 2 songs for a split 7inch with More Than Ever which was released on Lucifers Legions Records.
The new album, which is called "ways to say it, ways to get it", was released in March 2008 by “Day By Day Recordings”. You can expect 10 songs full of energy, passion and melodies.
In late 2008 the singer and founding member Tobi left the band due to personal reasons. But in late March 2009 Turn Away came back with new songs and a new man at the front, Daniel.
After the past nine years and several lineup changes the band still follows the primary intention of what Turn Away stood and will always stand for: Friendship, fun and passion. Nothing more, nothing less.
Be prepared for a storm of melodic guitar parts, fast and catchy hardcore that brings fun and passion back into our beloved scene of today.
