Sounds Like
Punk Rock fell in Love and Overdosed on Poppy Bliss ... I'd like to hear from you what it sounds like!
Uglygraphy is the brainchild of 33-year old Matt Thomas. In 2005, in a steamy attic in an old house in the eastern part of Virginia, Matt toiled away for many hours and days on end. The result is Steamy Attic Records and Love Boat, the first release from the label. After feeling exhausted by his former band, Matt struck out to create music on his own. Somewhere between pop, punk, and a little bit of alt-country, lies Uglyography. Both the name of Matts project and a word meaning bad handwriting, Uglyography is a unique experience. Though Matt does indeed have pitiful handwriting, his songwriting skills demonstrate insight and passion. An album that is both heartfelt and true, Love Boat is a 9-song cycle detailing the end of one relationship and the resulting true love found in another, a tale of loss and redemption. Written, recorded, and performed entirely by Matt, Love Boat is a dream of reality.
Chances are that Uglyography will be playing live where you can see them very soon. You can check for show dates, download free music, buy t-shirts, CDs, and stickers, and get more information about the band at www.uglyography.com
