.. "One of the best emerging new U.S. bands you've never heard of.".. -- Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover.... ..HERE COME THE GHOSTS (the new record from UHF).... It’s been four years since Portland, Oregon’s psychpop quartet UHF has released an album, but they’ve more than made up for it with HERE COME THE GHOSTS, a genre-bending journey of 21 tracks on both double vinyl and double CD. Straying from the psychedelic soundscapes of their previous (and critically acclaimed) releases, GHOSTS is more stark, more relaxed, much of it being recorded live in the studio. Lyrically, the album about relationships: past, present, living, dead... and undead. The journey is at times disturbing, uplifting, humorous, desperate, romantic, angry, confused, and reckless, but always infused with honesty. HERE COME THE GHOSTS is an eclectic and mysterious double LP that doesn’t wear out its welcome, and invites you to delve into the captivating world of its spirits and phantoms... maybe you’ll even meet some of your own there. .... ..History.... Hailing from Portland, Oregon, the psychedelic pop quartet UHF formed in 1998. In 2001, the lads released the concept album LOTTERY which garnered national critical acclaim and nationwide college radio airplay. In 2002, UHF released IF IT WAS EASY. Produced by pop mastermind Gregg Williams (whose credits include Dandy Warhols and Blitzen Trapper), IF IT WAS EASY earned critical acclaim, radio airplay and television sound bites (Providence, One Tree Hill). Extensive touring of the West Coast followed in 2003 and 2004. The band released ALL OUR GOLDEN TOMORROWS in January 2006. That same month, the band was chosen as the Indiepulse Artist to Watch. The record received critical acclaim and radio airplay, but injuries, debauchery, chicanery and some of life's other little surprises kept the band from extensive touring.....
