Unit F- Music for Change
We recently released our first full length album, "American Shutdown." With both Greg Hetson (Bad Religion/ The Circle Jerks) and Steve Kravac (7 Seconds, Guttermouth, MXPX) sitting in the producer’s chair, a truly unique and powerful album is put forth. American Shutdown blurs the lines between punk and rock.
Live Show
A true passion for the music and message comes out in the almost overwhelming live show. No gimmicks necessary, as the intensity generated from genuine emotion is more than enough to captivate audiences and challenge them to keep up.When that raw emotion is combined with driving guitars and thundering drums, the results far surpass excitement and become a feverous emotional outlet. Unit F draws from this and, with a vengeance, delivers. Mel (vocals), Steve (guitar/vocals), Chris (guitar/vocals), Terrence (drums) and George (Bass/vocals) force the listener to pump their fist in excitement while taking a closer look at the world around them.
Thanks for listening, we'll see you in the pit.
The buzz:
-"Greg Hetson describes his time in the studio with Unit F: "...Seriously, ...the world needs more bands like Unit F that combine good music with intelligent lyrical content.""
-Top 40 Charts.com-
-"...Hard-driving, old school punk... dripping with raw political insight."
-PT Rothschild, Full Value Review-
-"The album (American Shutdown) is awesome. I haven't heard that style of punk rock ever. Good stuff."
-Jack, PunkRockDemo.com-
-"...By balancing grim themes with dark humour, the band shows a level of social awareness that extends beyond surface value. Needless to say, anyone who loves music that challenges them to think for themselves should pick up American Shutdown..."
