With a singer (Dawn) who looks like she might exchange style tips with London based Goth rocker and DJ Lahannya, an intimidatingly named drummer (Violet The Cannibal) and the mysterious figure of Ola as their guitarist: Uniting The Elements have instant appeal. They have been described as "one of the worlds hardest working bands" and rightly so with a touring schedule that has taken them the length and breadth of the British Isle over the past two years, sometimes playing gigs seven nights in a row. Their newest album, Re-creations is a masterpiece, making me an instant convert. Its opening track "God Wont Be Coming Around" reflects the bands work ethic, with storming energetic instrumentals and an amazing display of technical understanding in composition. Track two: "Body Groove" assaults the scenes with the funk-esque verses and a chorus reminiscent of "Heavens Lie" era Lacuna Coil. Traditional rock staple guitar and drums are paired with sythed screeches and an assortment of barking and feedback noise to create a whole new sound. "Thank You" is a rock ballad for the modern age, more organic than the other tracks, but still with considerable bite. Sinead O'Connor with more attitude and fewer staged tears. Its is by far the most relaxed track on the EP, but carries the never-ending energy of the band, whilst displaying beautiful song-crafting and poetic lyrics. Where Thank You speaks (almost) tenderly of love lost, "Its Over" drips with syncopated anger and venom, the story of escaping a controlling abusive relationship. Lyrics such as "If you think that you can bring down your a failure, I can stand my ground" and "You mistreated me almost everyday because you just needed someone to play" make it clear that this victim has seen 'the light' and it really is over. Each track of Re-Creations is markedly differnt from last, keeping the album fresh and completely enthralling.

This is one of the most eclectic EP's I have heard for a while making the bands name doubly apt.
The song 'Body Groove' has a rap/rock crossover sound that makes you
want to hit the dancefloor where as 'Thank You' has the country stylings of Jewel
'It's Over' sounds like a more upbeat and enthusiastic Amy Lee tune, my personal favourite is 'God Won't Be Coming Around' with its
punkier almost devilish Presley feel which snares the body and mind into getting down.
All of the above is bound together by a cohesive attitude, appropriate
beats and heavy guitar which maintains an overall feel despite the diseperate sounds this coupled with a heavy tour
schedule means you should have the chance to see them live very soon.

The Rock & Blues happens to be one of the biggest music festivals in the country. One such group who'd travelled all the way from Nokia land (where they actually grow mobile phones) called 'Uniting The Elements'. Fronted by Dawn, with Ola on guitar and Violet 'The Cannibal' on drums, these guys were spellbinding and truly blew my socks off.
Their sounds were so infectious that one plucky young lady surpised everyone in the bear pit by actually clambering over the barrier and racing round backstage in an attempt to meet her idols. She didn't make it, hey, it was a good effort.
ROCK OF THE NORTH REVIEW
I have been to the Boot/Shoe today, and seen a Band called "Uniting The Elements". What a totally fantastic trio they are. Probably one of the best punkish/rock trios about. They play their own material, which is very good, and like a breath of fresh air, compared to the usual stuff that we hear. You have Violet on the drums (nickname 'The Cannibal') and this lady knows how to use those sticks. Ola does lead guitar on his Gibbo. This Guy certainly knows how to play and he's as cool as a cuke. Dawn is the lovely slim singer/vocals. What a voice !!! I have seen this Band 3 times now, and I am well impressed. Cannot wait to see them again.

Talk about an apt title..OK, I'll admit I've had a liking for this AngloGerman three-pieces' quirky powermetal for some time, but Jeezus guys, where'd this come from!? If God Won't Be Coming Around is indicative of things to come, then they'll go from being just(!) the hardest working band out there, to pure certified rock gods! (and goddesses, obviously...) Thunderous drums and speedfreak guitar mix with mildly distorted vocals to give a wonderful semi-industrial thrash anthem that could not be anyone else on the rock circuit. Sweet stuff indeed, but that's not all. Second track on here Body Groove rips apart the previously dodgy rap-metal genre and gives it some style at last. I just can't believe I am actually enjoying hearing someone rap. Thank You takes us back to more familiar U.T.E. territory, while It's Over finishes on a rather epic scale. I'm not quite sure when their live commitments allowed them time to actually record any of this, but maybe that no-messin, all-out attitude carries into the studio and gives them that edge...

Blazing a trail across Europe with an intense touring schedule that puts lesser bands to shame, Uniting The Elements (UTE) are cementing themselves as one of the greatest rock-pop trios around. Their sound is ever evolving but always rooted in neat hooks and citric melodies, from the raw metal rifts of their earliest offering, album Adrenalin, through to the thrash-punk stylings of EP, Bills Out, and culminating with the pop-doused industrialism of latest EP, Get Your Head Round.
This four song EP is impressively commercial. Get Your Head Round is a stand out track. Crashing head-on into a punk-pop rift that hints at early Blondie, it shunts180 degrees into a grand gothic chorus that fuses middle-eastern vocals with nu-metal’s darkest edge.
Similarly, Coming Home combines a hefty slug of chugging guitar with angsty vocals and space age Electronica, like a great mechanical shark submerging into choppy waters.
Run highlights one of UTE’s strengths —tangy, adrenal-gland punching intros. Run’s is Prodigyesque. Then UTE spin the throttle, a pounding bass line whips up the ante, and you’re left with the kind of power house of a song you could crash a Harley to.
Who’s Driving The Game is the pretty sister of the foursome with its samba back beat. This is ultimately ironic since the track is one of UTE’s most political, acting as a call to leaders to take account for their screwed up policies and resultant death tolls. And this is what makes UTE such an exciting band. They take the sugar of pop, sour it with synth, dark guitar and heavy drums, boil the lot and serve it hot with a sprinkling of heartfelt lyrics.
The cherry on top is UTE’s lead vocalist, Dawn, who’s been compared to punkster Debbie Harry, power-chord dominatrix Bonnie Tyler, Amazonian metal head, Doro Pesch, and the gothtastic Siouxie Sioux (I’d throw Pat Benatar into the mix.) But while Dawn shares their vocal strength, she is very much a female icon for the noughties. A flame-haired succubus, all jutting hips, ruby lips and sylph-like limbs, she is certainly the ‘fire’ in the band’s elemental mix. Add in the dense riffs of Ola on guitar and the band’s heart’s blood, Sarah ‘The Saturn’ on drums, and UTE are poised to send us all down in flames.
I, for one, am looking forward to it.

EP Bills Out - Anyone who went out and got “Adrenaline” last year will probably remember how loud and overpowering that music was. Bills Out is a short EP from Uniting The Elements, showing that they’re not letting go of that music making ability, but aren’t afraid to try other stuff.
The first song, Who Do You Lie To, is a relatively soft song in comparison to previous songs. It is not “soft rock”, as such, but doesn’t shake your stereos quite to hell and back. A few distorted vocals at the beginning and a guitar solo that sounds like it’s being played from the other side of St. Paul’s Cathedral makes for a good opening number.
The second song, Denver Stone, seems almost tranquil, with some soft synthesiser and guitar combinations throughout. Constantly, Dawn’s voice adds the salt to the chips, working well with the backing vocals.
Then comes the heaviest number on the EP, arguably. The title track, Bills Out, which has a more Adrenaline feel to it. The electric guitar has more presence than the previous tracks, and is helped along by a loud, precise drumbeat.
The final track is a live version of “Thank You” It is a heavy number, but as it’s been recorded live it lacks a little of the depth you hear elsewhere on the album. That’s not to say it doesn’t still sound good.
Another UTE empowering EP. All they’ve got to do is re-assemble some more tracks like this into another album. Probably sounds easier than it actually is.

Nearly every band in existence makes claims to being the world’s hardest working and toughest touring outfit, but there can surely be very few that match the sort of commitment that Uniting the Elements have shown. Over a two year period the band has played more than 450 shows around the world – just think about that for a second… it translates to more than one gig for every two days!
It doesn’t hurt that the band’s lead singer is quite literally red-hot; vocalist Dawn’s cherry-coloured hair and powerful Doro Pesch-esque voice makes her a striking front woman. Furthermore, tunes like “Get Your Head Round” and “Coming Home” aren’t just infectious blasts of modern rock, but they’ve got real radio potential too. Catch ‘em at a gig near you.

If my employer is lucky, I turn up about 4 days a week. If they're really lucky, I even do something other than use the tea and coffee facilities and clog up the less mentionable ones. A combination of my tardy attitude to work and Uniting the Elements rather dedicated approach means they gigged more times than I managed to "log-on" at work...
"Adrenaline" is a pick and mix of rock, punk and semi-industrial music with more than a few radio-friendly moments courtesy of a finely-tuned female vocal. After the title track opens proceedings with a stream of pacey heavy rock, the record begins to divide itself between some very distinct styles.
The first of these is a continuation of the heavy rock theme set by the opener. The vocal slips between Siouxie Sioux and Bonnie Tyler while the guitars pump out rocky riffs to accompany crashing drums and simple bass lines. "The Drive", "Dear Dread" and "Fool You Again" head down this path and require a few listens before they begin to grow on you.
In order for the CD to get enough plays for these songs to take root, "I Will Find a Way" and "Crave on Raider" set out towards a more contemporary rock sound with more guitar hooks and wider melodies that soar to new heights in the chorus.
There are a couple of surprises in store, with a brace of rock-rap tracks. "BG Body Groove" is one of the best tracks on the record, with the guitars approaching the territory of metal and a Kittie style spoken intro before the MC'd vocal kicks in. "VIP Survivors" is similar in sound, with sci-fi lyrics and heavy sequenced bass tones.
Throw into this mix a couple of emotional rockers and a hint of industrial metal and you've got a bit of something for everyone on the alternative circuit as well as a few bits for the pop fans...

IGNITING or UNITING’....Definitely called ‘UNITING THE ELEMENTS’ but this band’s jolt of overwhelming energy set’s the place on Fire! harnesses the Wind and moves the Earth! Really? No, but metaphorically speaking that’s what their wonderful blast of hard hitting rock/punk conjures up.
Loud, melodic diva-esque rock exudes from a band with depths beyond expection, led by flambuoyant vocalist Dawn, it’s almost impossible to take your eyes or ears of them. The band are totally injected with an overpowering sense of self confidence. They look good on paper, in the flesh and give guilty pleasure to the senses.
Saw the band last year ... at Colne Festival last. Uniting the Elements, nothing cute or depressingly melancholic about their stunning stage act, instead they aurally vibrate any venue & festoon fans with a pandora’s box of pulsating punkish rock (rechargeable batteries a must!!!).
Demo shows a range of the bands talent, from the thick guttural tones on ‘Bill Out’ with it’s whispered intro interspersed with furious riffs to a more melodious sound on ‘Denver Stone’. This track echoes Sheryle Crow & Cerys Matthews style of power rock, but ‘Who Do You Lie To’ offers emotion and attitude delivered by raw vocal strength. ...Worth seeing.
Last comment on the band - Dawn’s short skirts would even make a Friday night slapper shiver!!!

It's Wednesday night and...the MFN club plays host to hundreds of leather clad bikers...Uniting The Elements from Germany are here for our enjoyment...the three piece outfit...have been extensively touring the UK...not suprisingly they know how to deliver a polished performance. Most of the songs they played tonight came from their Album "Adrenaline", with influences ranging from Punk, Industrial and Hard Core each number is delivered with total confidence and conviction. Dawn immediately demands the audiences full attention from the off, both with her physical appearance and with her quite remarkable vocal talents. One quote I recently read of her was "she sings like a bird and can roar like a lion". Ola plays his guitar with grungy rythmic quality, while the slenderly built Sarah bellies her lack of physical size to thrash the drumkit within an inch of its life...People who have not seen UTE before tonight were instant converts and with a rigorous touring schedule you get the idea they will make many more fans to add to the following they already have. On the whole tonight has been one of the better bike nights in Thunder Valley thanks in no small measure to two girls and a guy from Germany.

I put it on and fell in love with the originality this band brings, not even half way through the CD I replied to their message extremely hopeful that we could work together in the future. They sent me a new EP with 3 tracks on: Coming Home, Get Your Head Around and Run. The band are the beautiful Dawn on vocals, Ola on guitar and the equally beautiful Sarah on drums. They formed in 2002 and have
since played more then 450 concerts, rated best in the US radio test market I'm sure this band are going to be around for an extremely long time achieving what most bands simply dream of.
Get Your Head Around. This song just makes you want to dance to the dark side.
Even without being a gothic band this band can still connect with all music fans as they verge on the edge of all styles. I'm trying to think of a band that has managed to perfectly balance in all genres and honestly I can't think of one except these guys. I could imaging they'd be very good to book for any night of alternative music events and one of the best head line bands to hit the stage.
Run is the final track, it's also my favourite of the EP. Dawn has some amazing vocals which really shine through on this song. Most people like to compare singers and bands to already known ones but it's extremely hard to do so with this band. If I had to pick one I would probably compare Dawn to Sandra Nasic from Guano Apes in their more powerful songs, angelic vocals with heavy guitars and a fantastic drum beat. All 3 of the band member's talent on their instruments blend fantastically, Ola's riffs in Run are amazing and I was personally playing along on my air guitar totally distracted from the review I was supposed to be writing! After a few chorus's in comes Sarah with a fantastic mini drum solo, it really does blow you out of your seat. There wasn't much I could say about this song and infact band except wow!
So go on, buy the EP or the album and turn your speakers right up. If your neighbours complain, screw it I bet they were secretly jumping around to the CD as much as you will be!

Many music fans in the north west will already be aware of German band (I think) who have toured the region heavily over the last twelve months. Indeed, they delivered a blistering set at Blackburn's Cellarbar Courtyard festival back in May. Their powerful heavy punk pop well represented here with 'Thank You'.

Headlining tonight was a band from Germany Uniting The Elements. Apparently, they have been on the road for the last two years! Watching the singer perform, it made me wonder how they have lasted two weeks! She put so much into it, I was exhausted just watching. Vocally she reminded me of Gwen Stefani when she was with No Doubt and Siouxsie Sioux at her best. The band was very exciting to watch, and musically was very heavy punk.

Uniting The Elements are a 3-piece made from one third England and two thirds Germany. Expect this lot to be belting out on an FM radio station soon. The band consists of Dawn on vocals, Ola on Guitar and Sarah "The Saturn" on Drums... which must leave the lone male Ola feeling a little lucky. Curiously, the band claim to have no surnames. Even more curiously,"Uniting The Elements" is an anagram of "Enlightenment Suite". A future album title perhaps? Anyway, the music may be loud, but is rock-radio friendly, and they certainly have the potential to go far.
Right from the off, there’s no messing about with sticky little introduction minutes of noise, oh no. Bang – into the first song, “Adrenaline”. A fast-paced yet smooth sounding slice of punk metal. And immediately Dawn’s vocals hit you like a juggernaut down a cliff. She has an incredible strength in her vocals, and can belt out any note she chooses and holds it there, perfected immediately in the first song. Think Auf Der Maur jamming with Queens Of The Stone Age. Frankly, there isn’t time enough to recover from that before “The Drive” forces its way through the stereo. It crosses sweetly between slow, epic-like verses and strong choruses. This is followed by a slower piece, “I Will Find A Way”, and then another fast-paced number, “Dear Dread” help keeps some variation in the album. “Fool You Again” is another nice and loud piece, and then a weird one, “B.G. Body Groove”, which almost has a rap verse, the speed it’s sung at. “Crying” would fit perfectly
onto a Garbage album, (in fact, so would a few others), but this is followed by a new sound, a wave of synthetic ambience in “Crave On Raider”. Still Dawn belts that voice out.
By this time, you just feel the need to sit down with a cup of tea and just calm down, but no! No time! As “Inserted Destiny” provides a fast-speaking fast-paced killer of a track. You can have your cup of tea during “No. 1” which is a calmer song, with a soft background layer. Just when you thought it might calm down before the end, another Garbage-esque number is shunted out, in the rather ominous “Where The Gods Come Down To Die”. The last three tracks provide all the rock needed, with “V.I.P. Survivor” almost bending on a Sci-Fi Rock sort of area. Something you may hear from Gary Numan.
This hard rock trio have every chance to make it to the big stage, but while some albums stumble and stutter to an opening, United The Elements hit the wall running, and boy do they hit it hard.
Music Extreme (Argentina)
A powerful rocking band with killer female vocals. At the same time this band delivers songs that can be hits because of their memorable choruses and melodies. There are faster tracks like "Dear Dread" but mostly the band prefers to use more mid tempos where they can develope their melodies and atmospheres. The female voice is really powerful and despite having the strength to do really energetic parts, it has a lot of pop feeling that allows the choruses to go direct to your brain. The guitars sound rocking and heavy in many tracks and they construct the main structure of the music here. And there are also keyboards that orchestrate many parts here. The sound of the recording is clear and direct adding a live feeling to the music. A rocking release !!!

Uniting The Elements does exactly what it says on the tin. Heavy enough for the alternative rock scene but retaining enough of a pop edge to get them necessary airplay, Uniting The Elements have made sure that they don't alienate any musical section in their quest to provide the type of contemporary rock that is doused in sultry female vocals accompanied by ferocious guitars and powerfully pounding drum beats resulting in what can only be described as every teenage boys fantasy rock band. Lead singer Dawn simply oozes sex appeal as she commands each song, dominating it entirely. With seemingly schizophrenic vocals that verge on the brink of sultry seduction before transforming into venom drenched rants, Dawn epitomises the essence of Uniting The Elements ability to do rock with an approachable facade.
Powerful vocally led tracks seem to be the way to go for Uniting The Elements and on the whole it does work for them. 'Laughing Cinder' hails along in a whirl of thumping, fast drums and anger tinged vocals that can soar from a hush whisper to an almost wailing angst ridden tirade within three and a half minutes making sure that 'Laughing Cinder' encapsulates all the required elements. This seems to be the formula Uniting The Elements stick to, never really venturing into a new format but then if it works why change it?
'Rebel At My Core' ticks every box you'd expect with a title like this. Furious rock with an ample dose of angst menace ensures that it charges along in a blaze of guitars and drums. Although slowing things down to a more ballad pace with Thank You', Dawn's vocals again dominate the song, swooping and soaring in their own almost operatic style. Given their extensive tour schedule of 190 shows in the last year and their ever growing airplay on US and European radios, Uniting The Elements could be a band for the future; a band that mixes its styles around their alternative rock base, appealing to a wide audience in the process - Evanescence anyone?
21st Century Music (UK)
This awesome band start with a Heavy multi-disciplinary Rock song with overtones of Industrial. A band that doesn’t like to commit to any pigeonhole, in terms of sound and lyrical content. They play music for it’s own sake..‘Who’s Driving The Game’ slows down a tad and is very solemn - Introspective and Moody, but still has elements of rock you can cut yourself on. This is rock that’s heavy and you throw yourself at it to appreciate it even more! The next song finishes with a wild racousness of controlled musicianship. The music rolls out of them and reaches dizzying heights of ecstasy and is quite illegal. This band is infectious and I want to see them again; I’m gonna make a habit of it. You will too.

They sound awesome, Dawn can certainly bring the house down, with the help from Sarah lil...but drums like Nicko from Iron Maiden, and Ola a genius on guitar, sound abit like Malmsteen, with a touch of Vai....all work well....a mixture of alternative genres...Crowd loving every minute of there performance...

With gigs every other night, UTE are set to take United Kingdom by storm !“Adrenaline” is a powerful and overwhelming album with tracks that have punchy guitar riffs and belting drum beats, and a voice that sends shivers up your spine. Dawn (vocals) Ola (guitar) and Sarah (drums) are a unique team. Together, they have given punk rock a different attitude and that little bit more of an edge.
The first track “Adrenaline” is a punky and powerful song and a great start! It hits you hard and fast and unless you are on the same wave, you’ll miss the ride totally! The second track “The Drive” is a familiar sounding track with strong beats throughout and a good solid vocal. It had a catchy melody and a heavy guitar to compliment it. “I Will Find A Way” is a softer, ballad type song, with an intense vocal performance, proving to be a musical, thought-provoking trance. It is a very commercial song and is instantly liked. Track 5 “Fool You Again” showed off Dawn’s range, as did “Where The Gods Come Down To Die”. A low voice for the verse works well as Dawn builds up to the Chorus with a belting, higher-pitched vocal. Ola makes the song instantly familiar by using a similar guitar effect to that from “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day.“The Final Break” and “VIP Survivor” (UTE’s latest single) differ greatly, yet sound parallel, because of the keys and synths. In “The Final Break” Dawn’s voice is low, sexy and seductive and is extremely powerful in the chorus - It definitely shows off her range!“VIP Survivor” is upbeat and has a distinct piano sound. The drums are very tight throughout this song in particular, and in some songs you can clearly hear the off-beats and complex drum fills. Sarah is a very talented drummer and it’s nice to see that it’s not stereotypically a guy! It seems that this adds to UTE uniqueness!
Track 9 “Inserted Destiny” makes Ola’s guitar shine! At the beginning of the track it starts at a fairly medium tempo, and then when it reaches the chorus it speeds up twice the speed. It is a very challenging song both musically and vocally, and you can hear just how tight UTE are! The song which surprised me the most on the album was “BG Body Groove”. There were a lot of synths involved at the start of the track but out of no-where came Dawn’s rap. Yes, I said rap. It wasn’t expected and even though it was a shock, it was a pleasant surprise!
UTE prove to be a very tight band, with that extra something, and give the outlook of Punk/Rock a totally different edge!

Tonight we were given a special invitation to see the exciting German band ‘Uniting the Elements’ touring in the North East. We had heard a lot about them from different sources over the past months and that they were a great band with an unique vocalist and as they have been touring the length and breath of the UK and have a very favourable following wherever they go so it was nice after a two year spell they were brought back live to The Three Tuns.
‘Uniting the Elements’ are a contemporary class of a punk/rock tinged with slow ballads leaving you begging for more with their cultured entertainment.They write and perform their own songs and don’t do the classic covers that most audiences in the North East love to hear, which is a great it shows a true style of something different from a band.
They are a three-piece band consisting of Dawn (Vocalist) she has it all, a stunning killer red head with model drop dead female looks together with a beautiful magnetic stage presence as she enters with vigour and energy and her voice has a powerful deliverance that leaves the audience stunned. Some female singers struggle with heavy Rock and Punk and yet Dawn has that really powerful vocal tone that reach both high and low ranges of pure excellence and ease, she is without doubt the best female front person by far we have seen as she knows how to use that voice of hers. Ola (Guitarist) a very talented guy using some brilliant fretwork and solo commanding performances graced the stage and had you spellbound with his magic. The guy himself looks so cool on stage with his shaven head and powerful build. Sarah (Drums) A new and yet quiet English member who hails from Cambridgeshire has been a member of the band some six months or so and yet how many female drummers do you see in bands across the country these days. Her talent on display tonight was riveting to say the least she has a pure energetic, powerful beat edged with sophisticated grace, we were gob smacked on how such a small person can command a presence on stage a sheer delight to watch. Sarah could in our opinion rival to shame some of the best male drummers on the circuit.
Tonight’s performance was without doubt, a band worth seeing from a different perspective; at the same time this band delivers their own songs that have memorable riffs and melodies. A few of the songs covered tonight ‘Adrenline’ which had a classic hell for leather drum beat, ‘I Will Find A Way’ showed how the slow tonal range of this sultry singer and again with ‘Laughing Cinder’ she had the Blondie come Hazel O’Connor style with pure magic, you can listen to some of their songs on their website www.unitingtheelements.com and their forthcoming gigs which sees them back in the North east towards the end of the year, however the only slight disappointing side which was of the backing tape being used to substitute the lack of a base player, but Ola told us this was temporary as there are looking for a bass player and yet it did not deter us to hear this talented band. This band has toured with some the best bands and can perform on their own right We were very impressed on tonight’s performance and recommend you should go and see them for yourself.

...Although at first it was a tad strange to hear the bass and a synth playing through the PA, with nobody playing them, the trio (drums, guitar and vocals)
soon grabbed my attention. As far as I’m aware, the guitarist never hit a bad note and the drummer never missed a beat (excuse pun). On top of this, the female vocalist had more stage presence than the stage itself. ...2 of their CDs were sent to me and after listening to them I was quite surprised,because UNITING THE ELEMENTS is a very strong female fronted
melodic rockband. Their most recent release is the 4-tracks counting EP ‘Rebel at my core’, which immediately shows the band’s skills in bringing some really strong female fronted melodic heavy rock. Best songs of the band are the uptempo melodic rockers from the EP “Laughing cinder”, “Thank you” and from the full-length CD ‘VIP Survivors” that would be “Where would I be” (very catchy super melodic chorus a la JOSETTE, very early PAT BENATAR). Concluded, better check out this band asap if you’re into quality female fronted melodic rock. (Points: 8.3 out of 10)

What a great band Uniting The Elements are. I missed the chance of seeing them a few months ago, but I'm sure tonight must have been one of their greatest gigs ever in their own eyes after the response they got. They've got the look, with their stunningly beautiful red haired front girl who can sing so well (and wail when required) and command attention within, and between songs, even keeping an extremely pissed Sync from paying another visit to the bar. The guitarist must have gone to the ‘Punk Guitarist School of Cool' - Big Fella, Tattoo's, Shaved Head, Shades, and Commands the Stage = A+. Their music is ‘Punk Rock' but not too alternative to stop any music fan present in Blu tonight from enjoying them. After a blinding set, the front girl jumped on a table to see and thank the whole crowd for their support, and by the look on her face, she really meant it, and I don't think it will be too long before we see Uniting The Elements back in Blu again.

The three of them roar through a monster of a set that was unlike anything I've seen or heard in my life. Hook line after hook line emerges from each song, all strangely familiar, yet hopelessly new. The riffs seem simple, the solos monumental . Her voice ranges from lilting Lulu like trills to Eartha Kitt type purrs, while all the time the drummer bangs away like a man possessed. The electro is all programmed, once again begging the improvising question, but all thoughts of that left my mind staring at this strange car crash come alive.
What's that? Ah-ha are playing? Oooohh . . .

What is amazing about this trio is that all of their songs can be played on commercial radio. Central figure of UTE is their singer Dawn whose voice is a mix of Shirley Manson (Garbage) and Doro Pesch. Together with her 2 bandmates they play modern Hard Rock, which is tuned up with some electronic elements, but in principle is based on traditional structures. From soft cuddle-up-songs to rough bud-kickers UNITING THE ELEMENTS (short UTE) can play all variety of their genre. Since their formation in Spring 2001 UTE have played over 200 concerts and have toured the UK and the US. This trio owns a lot of potential, not only in respect of being commercial. Nobody should be surprised when UTE is climbing up the Charts…

With uncounted Airplay on numerous Radiostations around the globe and well known to a selected fancommunity UTE now want to draw the industries.. attention on them with their album “V.I.P. Survivor”. It could work, cause their conglomerate from Garbage to Guano Apes or the legendary Lee Aaron has a sweet nuance and changeable arrangements. Their spectrum reaches from going-under-your-skin-ballads like “I Will find A Way” over industrial Songs to classical Rocksongs.

UTE are (Guitars Ola, Drums Violet) as well as Singer Dawn who have played their asses off on 200 concerts over the last two years including extended Tours through the UK and the USA, while especially in the US they had a lot of Airplay and received positive feedback from the local press. Equiped with the right portion of self-confidence UTE at present sell their self recorded art, e.g. “Set It Out”, which includes 11 tracks and represents the bands creative status. UTE deliver a mix of Nu-Metal, light industrial tones and even Hip-Hop and EBM, but above it all a great portion of Poprock.This rock-pop style mixed with the voice of the exceptional readhead singer Dawn pushes their sound into the style of Garbage (in their better times). They can hardly be put into a drawer. Extremely successful is “In Love with Your Enemy (with a great touch of pop the right stuff for radio), the energetic “Evil Yvonne”, the main Track “Set It Out” and the yearning ballad “I Will Find A Way”. The music changes as well as Dawn..s voice, between all colours of emotions and styles, but stays to the thread. The bands future looks extremely positive – UTE will be on a US Tour in fall and are looking forward to their label debut. I am convinced that UTE will go their way.

I give you every adolescent boy’s wet dream - UTE , a German industrial band with a pop flair and a sultry female vocalist that’s hotter than R. Kelly’s greatest video moments! Since spring of 2001, this German band has been touring non-stop, getting heavy airplay and receiving rave reviews all over Europe. They’re like the love child of Shirley Manson and Trent Reznor, and this, their first full-length CD, is a breath of fresh air into the stale, normally male-dominated genre. Singer Dawn, the seemingly schizophrenic siren, switches from sexy girl-next-door whispers to serial-killer sweetheart screams faster than you can say "hot German love" over an opus of crushing guitars, heavy digital effects, driving rock beats, and thumping bass lines. Uniting the Elements are immune against being praised by the international Music Press. Though these newcomers have a reason not to be. They succeeded to get on numerous playlists all over the world without having a record deal. Everything started when Philipp went to the local post office to buy some stamps and sent the CD all over the planet. “With our music we wanted to reach as many people as possible. And the small radiostations, not influenced by the commercial market, can bring those titbits to the surface.” The band is already seen as a serious counterpart to Garbage. You understand when you had the chance to see them on one of their swiss concerts. The similarity of singer Dawn and gabagediva Shirley Manson is amazing. With her eccentric performance she filled her audiences at home and abroad with enthusiasm. Just like the garbagediva chameleon Dawn knows how to use her voice and it is considerable. In INSIDE THE WAVE she sounds like the shy lament of an elf and in IT..S OVER she lets her rage explode. Still UTE do not want to be seen as a Garbage copy. The sound of their latest album BLACK RAIN reminds of Guano Apes and the industrial metal of Nine Inch Nails. The skilled musicians combine Nu Metal with elements of Hip Hop and the charme of contemporary pop. That is the bands recipe of success. They are on their way to the top. Songs like the industrial EVIL YVONNE are polished and hit the nerve of time. It is not surprising that some of the biggest US radiostations have put the album BLACK RAIN on their playlists. Enough reasons to make the step to the US. Just having returned from a 4 week UK Tour the band is working on their 3 week US Tour in November.Keep your ears peeled of them.....

Here is a german band that also plays heavy stuff but connects their style with pop and hip hop. This Munich based group with the outrageous singer Dawn can easily push other acts with similar musical ingredients aside. On this record nearly every song is ready for airplay believe it or not! I do prefer their music to the rubish that is normally played on the radio – you can hear the enthusiasm of the musicians.

"At the end of this CD I could only think of one thing : Dawn is a star as the redheaded diva of this German rock band not only has the looks of Shirley Manson of Garbage but on a song like "Seasons" she uses the same voice Shirley was giving us on songs like "I think I'm paranoid". But mind you, they're more than just Garbage-copyists. In fact Uniting The Elements are the sort of band who could be stars everywhere because they have a sort of universal language that can be described as melodic alternative pop with balls. So far Uniting the elements can be heard on several American radiostations and in some moments they even will working together with an American management-team so it definitely is a band that has the highest expectations for themselves and that's how it has to be cos bands have to believe in themselves or why else are they recording music for?
