The majority of sounds are generated or controlled by me.
Sometimes another person will make a sound, but they're always credited somewhere.
I have a personal account, you might think I could be a nice person - find out, if you want.
If you play an instrument like a trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, violin, cello, double bass, viola, then PLEASE contact me - you could be a key factor in completing my record. Thanks.
Influences
A vague answer for a vague subject, I suppose. You know when you hear or watch or read or see or feel something from some film or book or photo or other piece of art or whatever, and it stays with you or makes you think something or whateverthings? I think my approach consists solely of those certain things that I find in the aforementioned areas of artsy farts. Certain artists really really really do that to me on a regular basis... There are probably some listed a little further down... but, really, take a look at the long lists on that thing mentioned below:
There's a link to my personal profile above, i've listed a lot of things that I like/love, if that's what you're after.
Sounds Like
Well, the aim is to put across feelings and moods and such that I have experienced, or experience often, through sounds and textures that appeal to me. Thoughts that you may think when you are walking around a city or town late or early in the dark with orange streetlamp glows and music in your ears and all of that stuff especially unpunctuated.
The Music Probably Doesn't Sound Like These But Maybe You'll Get An Idea. So I think I've changed the name of this thing. Dialect is too popular with bad hip hop, and not really 'me' anymore. I hope you all think the new name is good, but I won't change back. Ever. I'm progressing with the album, I'd say it should be available by the end of the year. I'd hope so, anyway. The title and tracklist will be confirmed very soon.
Take care
D
Thx for your new/updated Christmas songs. I just downloaded them all. Enjoyed them back when you were as Dialect too. Just played the old stuff on my radio show on Dec 17. Check it out at trancelab.com

thanks for the add friend.I'm Alexandros from Greece, need to say that when i first heard "dead animal hymn"(new mix),from the tour ep of yours i thought it was just divine, waiting for a full release since then,i think you should release something,someday...(synchchronicity for example?)your sound is fantastic, don't hesitate please, have a nice summer.Alexandros
Any update from you is a good update. I've been wanting to change my band moniker, too. What once seemed a funny name, thought of in an altered state over 15 years ago seems rather silly today. Everyone's got a right to change their mind. Really looking forward to hearing something new, and yes ... we're all still here. Waiting and anxious!
the remix is a very fine 'something'. After this taster a little more would be nice but as I see from your comments that you are something of a modern Kevin Shields, I'll let you get on with that in your own time. If you ever fancy a dose of reverb, distorted strings and electric piano then please stop by.
Tim
Buildings With Towns In It (resonant007) is a ***masterpiece*** it's one of my favourite 12"... brilliant stuff...!!! I deeply hope, that you'll upload it sometime?!?

Sooooo sorry I haven't been in touch for a long time with regards to your artwork. After I got back from Falmouth I headed to Tallinn (possibly the coldest place on Earth) and now I'm preparing to head to Canada for two days time. So I'm afraid not much has developed since we last spoke... having said that I found some really cool pieces of Art in tallinn which reminded me of your artwork ideas (I'll e-mail them to you).
You're a band! You're a person! You're a band! You're a person! Glad to see that Dialect is indeed at the forefront of your thoughts, D. Very very glad.
