"An exceptional disc full of strapping and wiry riffs, lively and eager singing and piquant and fully realized songwriting that harks back to the 1970s, when songs, not personalities, ruled rock." – Dallas Morning News
"We’re all fairly certain that the vocalist prepares for each show by downing a fifth of whiskey. Love those guitar solos." – Smother.net
"A balls-out slice of Sunset Strip inspired hard rock." – Urban Tulsa Weekly
"Guitarist Ben Mosier’s got all manner of Big Wreck ‘n’ Wolfmother chord change up his stadium-starry coat-sleeves. Basically, before this, Priestess were the edge of smarmy – now Upside define that edge...a toe-tapped trip with substance." – Bravewords
"Whip-smart songwriting and perfect production...Mullet music never sounded so sophisticated." – Stylus

In 2001, a whiskey-soaked crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly kicked ass and escaped a maximum-security stockade in Tulsa, Okla. and fled to the Dallas underground. Today, still wanted by the government but having given up the rock and roll life, they look back on the days when they survived as soldiers of fortune: living on your floors, killing your liquor cabinets, breaking your traffic laws, melting the face paint off your local emo kids, playing your Guitar Hero and thus reigning supreme as the original purveyors of TEXAS PARTY METAL. If you ever had a problem like an over-abundance of shitty bands in your town, lame-ass parties or your eardrums hadn't bled yet one month, if no one else could help, and if you could find them, maybe you could've hired UPSIDE. Hell, if you did, they probably wouldn't have broken up. Oh well!
Hey... I miss you guys. I still listen to your cds everyday. I met my first love at your music video release party.. it was sick. You all inspired me to write as well, although I chose a diff genre of music. I hope you all are doing great...

We are going to everyone of our friends and personally asking them for their help in the making of our next record!
What can you do to help you ask? Well, buy our record. That is what we need you to do most, and of course tell your friends that don't know about us, yet!
On our page, we have some sneak peeks of our upcoming album titled "Distance". Weekly we will also be posting new songs and videos so keep checking back!
This has been a great first year for us here at Sunfire Studios. We just posted 5 new songs for your enjoyment. If you like any of the songs, then hit up the bands that made them. They're all working musicians, so undoubtedly they're all looking for people to play shows with. Thanks to everyone who helped us out this year. Merry Christmas,
Thank you for being our friend. We have some new tunes up and we would love to hear what you think! We wish you a safe, care-free holiday and a great new year. Take care.
