Upsize came to be in late 2003 as the founding members of a 90's rock outfit wanted to first take Brisbane and then the world by storm with their audacious and electrifying music combined with unbridled raw energy.
Band members Matt Kurth (vocals), Martin Duffy (guitar), Sean Metcalfe (bass, backing vocals), Rick Ashe (drums) form a dynamic team of musicians and active songwriters. Rick joined the team in late 2005 and since then Upsize has gone from strength to strength.
The blending of Matt's vocals with the riff work of Martin teamed with the driving engine room provided by Sean and Rick create a sound that smacks of energetic and provocative 70's style Guitar Rock.

LIVE EXPERIENCE
Both EP's and the LP "West End Delicacy" have been launched with mind blowing performances and have been received well by the fans. The songs are a blend of in your face rock and anthem like choruses.
Upsize have performed at many of Brisbane's premier rock venues of late, headlining at clubs like The Living Room and The Zoo as well as many other venues around South East QLD on The Gold and Sunshine Coasts as well as out west to Ipswich and Toowoomba.
The band has also supported high profile acts such as The Angels, The Radiators, Airborne, Meloddysey, Dead Letter Circus, The Presidents Bush, Mammal, Iron On and Transport.
