A 5 piece band including a horns section. USV are just a bunch of blokes who loves music. USV plays ranging from ska to punkrock preferably no genres to our music, just purely music and fun!!
USV started off on 20 January 2003 from the now defunct Airsickpilots. Elfie, Man, D, Sondee and Sarah left to form USV along with friends Ann, Ham(Seventy3), Eugene(NOOB) and Farhan. The initial line up was :-
Sarah - Vocals
Man - Guitars
D - Bass
Elfie - Drums
Sondee - Trombone
Ham - Trombone
Ann - Trumpet
Eugene - Cornet
Farhan - Trombone
Sarah and Farhan left during the foundation period and D left for his "O" levels in 2003. Eugene took over bass and the rest was history. We played out first ever show in JB and there was no looking back since.
Nijam joined in late 2003 and we started to record demos at TNT studios and our first ever song Get A Life at Snakeweed Studios. After much touring in Malaysia, Nijam and Ham left to be replaced by Giam in early 2004.
In late 2004, Ann left us and the 5-piece powerhouse continued till our last show in Esplanade Mosaic Festival in March 2006. We are on a hiatus now, but expect us to be back soon with Monica replacing Giam on trumpet, and D back on bass replacing Eugene. USV are currently in the studios and shall be back with new songs, a new line up and all the crazy energy. The fun loving gang shall rock you soon. Love you all!!
