"It is the American style to be informal and audacious and slightly raucous—to have the charm and idiosyncratic complexity which come from being self-taught rather than academically taught."-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Why, I asked Yuhme, were so many things decorated with lizard designs. It was a design of which I had found a whole series, from semi-naturalism to the merest squiggle, like a letter V; and there was even a lizard dance. The reason, he said, was because long ago some Mawaydns had seen the lizard-people little men dressed as lizards."
"I once exchanged portraits with a Papuan. Using three-dimensional perspective, I created an optical likeness of him that his fellow tribesman could recognize as his portrait. His portrait of me, however, was not individually identifiable. Since I was a white stranger, he saw me as a ghost and he painted me as a headless, reptile-like figure, which is the conventional Papuan motif for all ancestors."
I left the art show without an LP! Fuck! But I did leave with 3 awesome pieces of cardboard that I'm really stoked about. Even my mom thinks they're rad. Amazing job, buddy.
My Uzi Rash LP is a one of a kind demented work of (f)art. It's approximately .5 mm too big and ever so slightly warped so it's just a smidge too big for my turntable. Every time the record spins around, it rubs on one spot, which slows down the record a tad bit, then speeds up again once the trouble spot has passed. I don't know how you manipulated the pressing place, Max, but you and Freedom School have really outdone yourselves. Congratulations!
Hmmm. Hey Bingman! So I just woke up alone on a rooftop in Germany. I'm not wearing clothes aND I can't figure out how to get off of this thing. I'm sadly not kidding.
