v01d [vee-zero-one-dee]
is the one-man project of joseph byer from Toronto. a graduate of the 
Ontario College of Arts and Design's Integrated Media program,
where his thesis involved playing pieces of public sculpture as
percussive instruments, joseph has been
experimenting with sound
for many years. 

having dabbled in sound design for film, theatre and performance art,
v01d is josephs offering to the electro/ambient song-writing world.

in addition to v01d, joseph made a major contribution to  
Ayria, 
producing and offering additional programming skills on her 2nd release. 
 
"Flicker", released Oct 10th 2005 on Alfa-Matrix, is a unique foray into 
various music styles that few music talents dare to venture. 
after joining the live Ayria show in the summer of 2004, joseph was 
presented with the opportunity to help Jenn realize her full artistic potential as 
a producer and programmer for the bulk of the 13-song release. look for 
joseph to continue playing a key role in future Ayria live gigs.
