GREGS MUM WAS A JAZZ ERA SINGER, HIS DAD A BASS PLAYER FOR THE BBC, HE GREW UP ON FRANK SINATRA, COLE PORTER AND STANDARDS AND HAS ALWAYS HAD AN EAR FOR A GOOD TUNE.IN 1968 GREGS FATHER OPENED THE NOW LEGENDARY VANDIKE CLUB IN PLYMOUTH DEVON IN THE UK. THE TEENAGE GREG BOOKED THE BANDS AND DEE JAYED ALONGSIDE THEM .BETWEEN 1968 AND 1980 GREG WORKED WITH SOME OF THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS ARTISTS AT THE VANDIKE PROMOTED CONCERTS , THESE INCLUDE DAVID BOWIE, PINK FLOYD, MARC BOLAN, PETER GABRIEL, ERIC CLAPTON,THE CLASH, SEX PISTOLS, LEONARD COHEN,QUEEN, TEN CC,ROXY MUSIC, POLICE,CAT STEVENS,JACKSON BROWNE,COCKNEY REBEL,MADNESS, IAN DURY, RAMONES, TALKING HEADS ,BLONDIE, BOB MARLEY AND 100S MORE HOUSEHOLD NAMES TOO NUMEROUS TO NAME DROP.GREG PLAYED WITH SEVERAL LOCAL PLYMOUTH BANDS BEFORE RELEASING HIS FIRST SINGLE CLONE IN 1979 AND APPEARING ON THE BBC TV PROGRAMME SOMETHING ELSE, HOPE TO HAVE A VIDEO OF THAT HERE SOON.HIS SECOND SINGLE IS INCLUDED HERE FROM 1980 MARIE CELESTE ON THE WARNER BROTHERS OWNED KOROVA LABEL.GREG STARTED HIS OWN RARE RECORD AND MEMORABILIA BUSINESS IN 1980 AND HE STILL WRITES ,DEE JAYS AND PRODUCES AND IS CURRENTLY WORKING WITH HIS DAUGHTER LAUREN VANDIKE.
