Influences
The contrast between melancholy and positive energy evokes the creativity of this music producing Swede and it is there you may find the definition of his music. The sound is clearly connected to his appriciation of old school house and techno and at the same time influenced from gengres outside the electronic world. After his first release in 2006 on Cologne based label Boxer Recordings the story has continued on a speedy path leading up to many interesting projects. .. 2008 was really the year when things started to happen. Making remixes for groups and artsist as: Lykke Li and Shout Out Louds and label Raw Fusion to name a few. Releasing four ep's on labels Stockholm LTD and Islands & Islets that resulted in chartings, mixes and plays by dj's like: Marcel Dettman, Josh Wink, Joey Beltram and many more. To top things off Van Rivers produced half of Karin Dreijer from The Knife's solo album Fever Ray and is currently on tour with Fever Ray. .. What's coming next and what's current now in 2009 is a ep release on Rotterdam based label SD Records, two releases on Stockholm LTD/Islands & Islets, remixes for Fever Ray (Mute), The Big Pink (4AD), Jenny Wilson (Playground), Bat For Lashes (EMI) and Massive Attack. -
