The fabled "Band Bio"....who reads this stuff anyway? So...we'll talk about how the band came to be. The current lineup started out in late 2006 when Jon Badalamenti, M.D. rescued 3 beautiful women from a burning building. Not wanting him to get all the credit, even though he did all the work, Tony Engel, Esq claimed HE did it and garnered much fanfare. So Jon enlisted the help of Bob "Cabo" Hilton, who was a bouncer at the "Circle K Lounge" and called famous attorney, Ron Thomas in case he could make a quick buck in a lawsuit. The ensuing carnage became the MIGHTY VEILSIDE. The "Mighty" part was dropped when the guys deemed that name to be too stupid, and just went with Veilside.
Okay, we made that part up. We came together like most bands do...from OTHER bands! Although the members all tend to listen to different styles of music, Veilside's sound is modern rock with big harmonies and a great live show. In June of 2008, the band released their debut CD, "Chapter One" that has sold over 800 copies to date by word of mouth alone. 2009 saw the band head out to Los Angeles for NAMM and more shows that will allow them to become a regional force. The writing has begun and the plan is to record a successful follow up for release in 2009.
The current lineup consists of:
Ron Thomas on drums and vocals
Jon Badalamenti on guitar and vocals
"Cabo" Bob Hilton on bass
Tony Engel on lead vocals.

The new video from Hitsquad Productions for our song, "Smile". This song was written about autism awareness. The performance piece is from "Breaking the Silence", our autism awareness benefit from May 2009. The other clips are of drummer Ron Thomas' family and features Ron's son Justin, who has autism. Justin also suffers from frequent seizures, so he has to wear a helmet for protection. Please tell us what you think of the video by leaving a comment!!
