Velcra was formed in 2000 by Jessi Frey and OD and got signed to EMI in 2001. The debut album "Consequences of Disobedience" was released in late 2002 and entered the top-40 charts in Finland and was nominated for "the newcomer of the year" in Finnish Grammys. The single "Can't Stop Fighting" peaked at #5 in the singles charts. The album was released in Germany and the UK the following year, and Velcra toured in both countries opening for acts like Oomph!, Exilia, Breed 77 and Guano Apes. The follow-up album "Between Force and Fate" was released early 2005 and reached #6 in the Finnish charts. The single "Our Will Against their Will" peaked at #3 in the singles charts. More touring followed. In 2007 Velcra released it's third album through it's own label Underarts. Again the album entered the top-40 charts, and the single "Dusk Becomes A Dawn" peaked at #3.
