Velure is a provocative bouquet of vocals, accordion, analogue synthesisers, guitars, bass, and live programming. Electronica in song form; down tempo and dub style beats.
The groups debut album Care For Fading Embers began as a collaboration with Norwegian Producer Erik Lloyd Wolkoff (Portishead, Coldplay, Café del Mar), whose attention the group secured during a show at Sydneys legendary Hopetoun Club. During the first few months of recording, Wolkoff died suddenly, leaving the group to realise their vision alone.
The resulting album reflects the all the emotion, passion, beauty and sadness of the long journey to its completion, andwill be dedicated to Eriks memory
''It has proved an impossible task to avoid waxing rhapsodic about Care For Fading Embers. Calling it one of the most beautiful albums of the year does not even begin to do it justice. Please reward yourself and Velure by purchasing an album that will not only remain a faithful companion for the rest of your life, but will no doubt bring joy to your children as well. Truly remarkable.'' - In The Mix
''Soft, dreamy and out of focus Velure string out their songs like stars twinkling brightly against the veleteen darkness of the night sky
............ Velure may work well within the boundaries of 'trip hop', (but) it is the emotion invested into each song, the magical melodies and the polish and detail of the mix that makes Care For Fading Embers such a rewarding listening experience.'' - Inpress Magazine
''With intricate drum programming, beautiful guitar motifs and vocals to match, Velure are definitely an act worth looking out for'' - Cyclic Defrost
''Velure are an intriguing prospect. Their music swings effortlessly between elements of trip-hop, dub and drum and bass; all the while Lynnelle Morans vocals sailing smoothly across the foundation of rhythms.'' - Time-off Mag
''Velure deliver five carefully composed and intricately produced pieces, in which elements of d'n'b, trip-hop and dub have been interwoven with the enticing voice of Lynnelle Moran to form truly enchanting songs.'' - Ideology (Germany)
