Flo	May 18 2009 3:20 PM LE MAG DE KILL-EYE Venus in Flames s'accroche... Il a raison de s'accrocher. Jan De Campenaere aka Venus In Flames peut être satisfait. Hanging On, le premier extrait de son troisième album Intimacy, est en train de trouver son public en Belgique. On avait découvert Venus In Flames en 2003 avec Notes Of Tenderness, un premier album acoustique, folk et mélodique. On retrouvait par exemple Joost Zweegers de Novastar sur Better Man ou Sarah Bettens sur Cynthia's Gone. C'est d'ailleurs Gert, le frère de Sarah, qui avait produit son album. Trois ans plus tard, Jan remettait le couvert avec un album plus électrique intitulé Shadowlands, avec la participation de deux membres d'Arid. Pour Intimacy qui vient de sortir Outre-Quiévrain, Jan a choisi de revenir à quelque chose de plus simple. On retrouve ce son folk qui avait fait le charme du premier opus. A n'en pas douter, c'est un album qu'il peut défendre tout seul à la guitare ou au piano, comme lorsqu'il assurait les premières parties de K's Choice en France. D'ailleurs, ce n'est pas un hasard si l'artiste flamand assurera les premières parties de Milow aux Pays-Bas. On verra même Jan en France dans les Cévennes au festival Gambel n'Pelous à Lasalle le 11 juillet prochain. D'ci là, Dreamers sera le nouveau single.
