This message is humbly written to Veruca Salt. I am hoping that they actually check this page or that this message will be passed on....
For 15 years now... you have changed my life. I am 29 years old and you have been one of my favorite bands for what is now the majority of my life. at 14 I picked up American Thighs and was hooked.
You are the reason my mother thought I was deaf all throughout high school.. as I snuck around with my earbuds inserted under my long hair.
You were with me on graduation night.. in the car, and at the end of the night when I looked up at the stars and frantically panicked about what was to come next...
You were with me the first time I did drugs.. and then all through the months of me struggling to finally get off of them.
You were with me when I got married.. and then throughout my messy divorce.
You were with me through the birth of my son.. and then carried me at times when he was diagnosed with a potentially fatal metabolic disorder.
AND THEN.. (and this is the BEST!) You were with me the first time he SANG with me!! at 3 years old once he re-learned how to talk... he was in the car singing Veruca Salt with his dad through the entire eight arms album... HAHA!!! I cant thank you enough for that.
anyway... what im trying to say is thank you... because your music has made and continues to make a HUGE imprint on my life... haha.. for better or worse. :P j/k
With all that said,
I'm kind of at a fork in the road right now and am losing faith on ever doing anything with my music... so since I have always turned to you guys when I'm feeling down, i figured I would this time as well.
I would never ask for a leg up.. It would be insulting to you...that is NOT what this is about... but if ANY member of this band could possibly take 5 min out to listen to some of my stuff, maybe give me some pointers or feedback.. It would help me a great deal and I would be truly honored. its
Hi Guys!!! Can't believe it was so long ago now since we played together.. that was awesome!! miss LA but rocking it hard in london now.. opening up for Gary Numan all very cool.. Hope this finds you all well!
Listening to Blow It Out Your Ass an IV and asking myself, "When will Veruca Salt make another record? God I miss them! Hope they tour again!" Your records will always be in my rotation.
I'm coming from el paso, Texas to see your band. the show at the Viper room. I've been listening to VS for a long time. I hope you play "use to know her" and "wet suite" i would love that. I listen to black metal and death metal. but before that it was veruca salt heavy rock. Anyway, i'm looking forward to this concert! Cheers!
many thanks for adding me onto your list of friends. have followed the band foe some time now, and love everything you have released. just bought a copy of 'IV' and it will stay on my IPod for quite some time I do believe. anyway, all best wishes with your musical endeavours - current and for the future...

Hey Veruca, You know, I really like how you keep rockin' for us bad girls out here. I need your tunes when the guys are gettin' flakey and thinking they're the greatest thing since electric guitars. So thanks! Keep your nose in the air and have a stiff upper lip, do your thing Veruca! Appreciate, Mandy from da dirty south
