I'm a HCA and I work in Trauma & Orthopaedic Rehab, within elderly care. I'm involved in helping patients mobilise, helping with ADLs (washing, dressing, eating + drinking, toileting etc.) and generally making their time in on the ward as safe, comfortable and progressive as possible. I wipe a lot of arses but it's a bloody rewarding job.
I owe an immeasurable amount to my big sister, who has got me through everything, and is the #1 reason I enjoy living.
I like to sing and shout and dance about, aiii.
I'm vegan and it matters.
Every day I realise more and more just how important people are to each other, but how self-destructive we can be nonetheless.
I'm stoned while I'm writing this.
Weaknesses: hairspray, nicotine, ketchup, plastic jewellery, a good beat, drawing on jumper sleeves.
Shitlist: animal exploitation, human rights violations, bland music (coldplay), running out of gum, "new labour", bad hair days, fucking housing developments, heat + natural UV rays, not-cooked-all-the-way rice.
