Well, Vibeke Saugestad is only me. And the backing band has differed over the years. Right now I have a great band backing me, consisting of Morten Henriksen (guitar), Nils Erik Strømnes (guitar), Egil Stemkens (bass) and Tomas Dahl/Palle Krüger (drums).

My name is Vibeke Saugestad. My musical journey started in an all girl group called Avslørte Bondepiker in 1992. In 1993 I joined a group called Weld, who released two albums on EMI. Then I started a new group, Thelyblast, who released one record on Sony Music, before I went on to making records as a solo artist. I have released two records so far, Into The Shimmering in 2001 and Overdrive in 2003. But now, finally, my third album, The World Famous Hat Trick, is due out. On august 27th. After having spent some time in a drawer in my apartment. Hope y'all enjoy it!

I went to the SXSW music fest in Austin, Texas last week to see my old friend Terry Hartman who's now with the fantastic DeadBeat Poets. Great show!
